Raf Addision was injured his senior year or he would have overtaken Bing as the scoring leader. Did not help us when we lost to Navy either. That team with Alexis and Pearl could have made a nice run.

im not a doctor , well maybe I am, but that looked like a two week deal to me the second it happened. Those ankles generally get worse the next days not better. So when they tell you that it doesnt seem to bad at the time, they arent lying. its just that it could get worse

Devo and Andy out were big losses for sure. McCullough… impactful but may not have changed a lot overall.

I dont know. the way the refs were letting Butler go full steel cage match against us, it might not have made a difference. they would have just had Roddy Piper jump off the top rope onto AO and then have George the Animal eat his ear.

Yep. We were the best team in the country hands down with AO and had a friendly path to the title. With Fab it would have been a show down with UK and was the title game all of cbb deserved.

Basketball has actually been decent recently. Outside of the freeman and Edwards injuries we have been incredibly fortunate injury wise for like a decade?

Just last year, we lost McLeod and Westry essentially for the season, before it even started, missed Starling for 7 games, and Freeman was out for the season after only 14 games.

Additionally, Bell had something broken between his ears the first half the season.

Other than that, phenomenal Injury luck!

The upside of Andy being out for an entire season with the ACL is that he redshirted, and so his senior year was 2009-2010 when he was part of one of the best Cuse teams ever. He would have been out of eligibility after 2009 if not missing the season with the injury.

Devo still had eiligibility, too, and would have been part of that great 2009-2010 team as well, but I believe JB kind of forced him and Paul Harris to turn pro. Wes Johnson was coming in as a transfer, and there were suggestions that chemistry could have been impacted if Harris was suddenly playing alot less. But it’s interesting to think how Devo would have impacted that team if he didn’t decide to leave.

If Dasher is to be believed there was far more going on with Westry then just injury issues. And McLoed wasnt really that good. I feel like i live in a bizzaro world with him being brought up multiple times, he had one good game his entire career.

He was depth, size and defense on a team that lacked both. Winning teams need those things it’s not just all guys who put up big numbers. The whole injury good fortune thing started one way then you moved the goal posts. We are pretty much middle of the road as we have had more than our fair share of injuries that impacted or derailed our seasons over the past 10 yrs.

Anyways it doesn’t matter and hopefully Betsey isn’t out long.
