If it's going to cost us $10 milllion or something in that ballpark, Gross isn't interested.

$10M to get out in 2013 vs $5M to get out in 2014 is a no-brainer. TV revenues will go up $10M. There'll be a loss of NCAA credits for a few years, but that's part of the cost of changing conferences.

It may turn out to be $8-9M plus a couple of guaranteed football games.

I am pretty confident that Pitt and Syracuse will be headed to the ACC after next season. I was hoping they would follow WVU out this year but I was always told that patience is a virtue. I am just glad we are getting out of this conference. I think Louisville is eventually going to end up in the Big 12.

It will be about 7.5 mil and one more year, I do think the toyed with the idea of getting out earlier up until very recently

Yep, with the Big East having most of their new teams come in for 2014, they aren't going to play hardball anymore. WVU already got out, which means Marinatto had to officially tone down his commentary. At this point, you can tell everyone wants to move on. By the end of next November, everyone will really want to move on.

Do the schools coming in for the 2013 season stand to lose much money if they have to delay until 2014? If the schools coming in have to delay do they consider action against the conference for lost revenue? Would the incoming schools support letting SU & Pitt out early at a discount? Seems it'll be in everyone's best interest to let SU & Pitt out after this coming year. Hopefully, SU gets out for a minimal fee, maybe give some of the schools a game at MSG? :)
