SU fan here (non alum) in Texas traveling to NYC for the tourney in March.

Looking for a little help getting tickets.

Went to MSG website, ticketmaster, & bigeast.org, but didn't see any tickets available yet. However, there are some on stubhub. I figured these may be corporate/marketing seats.

Any idea where and when I can get tickets besides ticket broker sites?

Also, how easy is it to get tickets outside The Garden the day of the event? Figured this may be cheaper as well depending on seeding and when teams lose.

Thanks is advance!

I have a friend who knows someone who works at the MSG ticket office. She said that this year it looks like the individual BE schools will be selling tickets themselves, and MSG will not be handling it. This could be totally wrong information. The University sends me an email around BE Tourney time, offering to sell me tickets for about $400/package because I'm a season ticket holder. Apparently, we can sell non SU tickets in our package outside MSG and recoup some of our money. I say "apparently" because I've never gone before, but I am serious about going this time. I am sure you could post on here asking to buy tickets from a season ticket holder who's not attending the tournament. Hope this vague information helps!

you can sell them outside msg but you can also have the cops take the tix and money. be discrete and do it in the hotel lobbies.

The bars are also a good place to buy and sell tickets. The scalpers rarely find their way inside and it is far enough away from MSG that the activity is not illegal. Worse thing to do is try and buy or sell just outside MSG.

The cops can't do a thing. They can ask that a scalper move off of MSG property, but that is about it. It isn't illegal to resell tickets.

I thought it was illegal to sell tickets within 1000 feet of the event or something similar to that? At least from what I know anyhow.

At one point they got rid of that but it looks like they added it back and then some. It is now 1500 ft. Which means technically the hotel across the street is illegal. That being said scalpers stand on the steps of MSG and you can get a ticket easy. Heck I have even had scalpers try and sell me tickets as I was on like at the box office inside of MSG.

It sure is in front of MSG and the corners there. I have watched cops take both money and tix and 1 time the guy gave the cops a hard time and they cuffed him.

edit: sorry, hadn't see your other post yet.
