Big staff changes and hit the portal

Are the only options Fran has right now because this stink won’t fade until he rights the ship but people aren’t going to want to hear it or believe it until they see a competent staff and product on the field after this year. He lost so much goodwill from 2024 with the way this season went the last 9 weeks.

Ton of work to do and Fran quite honestly looks like an inept clown right now who is over his head. He did great last year, hitting the portal getting McCord and keeping Dino’s best guys, that option was a one and done but he has so much stink to wash off! Winners get washed Fran and the program smells like a petting zoo right

Not sure how anyone on the defensive side of the ball should keep their job. Nixon was great last year, inept this year once Angeli got hurt. You just can’t have that. I’ve never heard of just writing the entire last 8 games off because you lost your starting QB. It’s absurd. A decline in production sure? But just writing the season off? O line coach needs to go, need a legit QB coach as well. I mean I can’t think of an assistant coach that I would care if they left one bit.

Let Fran recruit but he needs a much better staff because this was pathetic. He’s officially the “CEO” type because he can’t coach

Sadly the best long term solution IMO would be to hit the reset button and dump everyone but Fran. That would mean next season is a rebuild season. But it is hard to go back after 2024.

Fran made sure Nixon got a contract extension last year. Going to your AD and saying let’s fire him will be interesting but would be a cap hit of sorts to the salary pool. Maybe Gattis is the play but have to think Williams (OL) and Johnson (TE-QB) are out.

Gut says EROB stays and a bunch of other heads get cut on that side with a true Co-defensive coordinator onboarded. But could see the new PSU coach getting Elijah back to his alma matter as a recruiter and fancy title that makes him look like a Co-DC but isn’t.

Special Teams, overall, seems fine to me.

Coaching not the root of the problem, players don’t want to play and it shows every week on the sidelines and field. Coaches can only do so much! And once Angeli went down players lost their grit! If players dont gel and have confidence with the quarterback (3 in this case) doesn’t matter who is coaching them . But hey fire them all and pay out all their constracts! That will fix everything SMH.

so as bad as the play on the field was this season , in my mind the coaching and roster management issues were far worse. and that's saying a lot. got yerself stuck on the median without a spare tire while the rest of the league whizzed past. even BC . so lesson learned ? ...don't leave home without one fran !
