Edwards is a healthy scratch. It’s on McDermott to go with the guy who has upside rather than the one who knows the assignments.

This game is a total disaster. It's one game and I would have predicted an L preseason, but losing in all phases.

It’s fine to play him as a situational guy for his run blocking. The fact that guys like Samuel can’t beat him out for snaps on passing downs is extremely alarming. Have to think Keon eats into his snaps as the season goes on; he’s a good blocker in his own right and simply offers way more as a pass catcher.

I’m not a huge fan of these punts on 4th and very short.

Even though it worked to perfection I didn't get going for it on 4th&3 the opening drive in Miami in FG range.
Here they punt on 4th&2 from midfield the first drive? Makes no sense.

They were 0-3 on 3rd and 3 or less at one point . That has always been these teams bugaboo. Converting non sneak short yardage

I know it's just one play, but you just can't overstate how stupid it was to run that wildcat play that ended up being a botched snap and fumble. You have all the momentum, it's 21-10 and the offense is cooking, and you suddenly decide to take the ball out of your QB's hands and have a backup center snap the ball to a guy who hasn't take a snap the entire game. It's illogical.

I’m all for trick plays. But not for a trick play that announces it pre-snap where Allen is lined up as a WR. A two year old could figure out the ball was getting back into his hands at some point

JMO but I didn't really have a problem with the timing of the call although I do understand the logic of just keeping things simple at that point. But the major problem was the Ravens didn't think for one second that Allen wasn't getting the ball. They haven't run one play with Samuel at QB so there was no deception or something that could be built off that play design down the road
