Ahhh, I missed it. Reading the excerpts and it sounds EPIC.

"We will not build our offensive game plan around our punter"

Rex neglects the fact that the Bills were 3-1 against the Jets the past two seasons with a combined score of:

Bills - 138
Jets - 67

Rex did a horrible job as the Jets' General Manager.

He did acknowledge they would consider former Jet Mark Sanchez, who will be a free agent.

Good luck Bills fans.

Rex is great in these things. Media will love him for being refreshing and open. Players will appreciate him and the wide receivers will wonder when they are going to get the ball thrown to them.

And at the end of the year the Bills fans are going to wonder what happened. "Why didn't we make the playoffs, I thought we were making a Super Bowl run this year"?

To be honest, I don't think Rex is a bad hire, but unless EJ takes a giant leap I think it's going to be tough going. Rex and Trestman might have been a good pairing, not sold on Roman as a difference-maker with the offense.

For the Pegulas' perspective, well they just about guaranteed a primetime game or two next year against the Patriots/Jets. So they get the Daryl Gross National Exposure award.

I just think it's funny all the Marrone gets for his, dream job, phrase. Rex Ryan says the most canned of anybody in the NFL. Every year, despite how bad the previous year was, is the year they are going to do some damage. He "feels" it.

Come on, I can't believe people can't see through the used car salesman schtick.

If he said canned he sure researched it well. Talking about lookie lookie here comes cookie goes over big with old timers

Unfortunately I don't see that happening, if the Bills are truly serious about competing this year then they need to go out and get a veteran QB. With out a first round pick they likely won't find a solid QB who can start right off the bat.

I may be crazy but my vote is for Cutler, he is the only QB that should be on the market that can take a team up another step, plus he's worn out his welcome in Chicago and the Bills have something like the fourth most cap space in the NFL this year so they have room for that hefty contract.

I'm cool with Cutler. I'm even cool with Sanchez. Bringing in Roman pretty much guarantees Buffalo will pay big money on some offensive line help. Spiller friggin loves Rex so if Rex wants CJ back, CJ will be back. The defense should be sick and I also look for Buffalo to bring in another playmaking TE.

That first round pick wouldn't be getting them a QB anyway so people need to stop bringing that up re: QB.

Lets look at talent these past 2 years and heading into next year:

QB-Draw
RB-Draw
OL-Draw
TE-Buffalo
WR-Buffalo
DL-Buffalo
LB-Buffalo
Secondary-Buffalo
Special Teams-Buffalo
Depth-Buffalo

Add to that an owner with all the money in the world, cap space and a willingness to spend.

I think he said he knew that because he spent 5 years living in Toronto in his younger days.

I'm not positive he'll be on the market. I know that's conventional wisdom at this point but it's not a sure thing and very likely he stays.

Are you saying he doesn't say canned ? Every year he's headed to a Super Bowl. Guy is delusional and people actually still believe his schtick.

When is the last time he said he's headed to a Super Bowl? I know he didn't say it yesterday.

I see what you're saying now. "canned" was the wrong choice of words for what I was attempting to say.

Wide receivers?
