Billy Joel & Sting: April 11, 2025

SU books concerts like its 1988 versus 2024. I am sure some people are excited but when Bruce Springsteen didn't come close to selling out maybe you get the hint that a younger singer or band is the way to go?

Dome had 30K for Bruce, couldn't see any empty seats.

I can say for sure they had thousands of tickets that went unsold. Good crowd but I believe they were thinking near sell out when announced and it wasn't close.
Based on the Amp shows I'm sure a big country act would be big-time.

I'm not really a country fan but ya totally agree. Country around here is huge and has been as long as I can remember. I have to imagine a Country act is in SU's plans.

With air conditioning, a permanent roof and individual seats, the dome is now a preferred venue for touring major acts.

You can bank on seeing a lot more concerts being booked there in the future.

Hopefully Jeremy can get his groove on with Bad Bunny soon. That is the one we have all been waiting for.

I'm failing miserably in trying to upload a pic. They must've given seats, floor access away.

I'm actually thinking of flying in for this. I haven't seen Billy Joel in years. My first concert was in Syracuse in 1977 at The War Memorial. I saw him with Elton John in the Meadowlands. As I get older, I figure these chances will get less and less for me to do these type of things. If only it didn't cost so much for the trip. Will hopefully get miles and hotel points or something.

30k for Springsteen is about 30k more than I personally get, that being said that’s more than anywhere else in Syracuse can hold. An undersold Dome is way more than other venues. By a mile. The amp holds 17 or 19k.
Metallica is essentially sold out, and the tix don’t go public until tomorrow at 10.
I can stand half the shows they bring, but am happy that they are clearly making a massive attempt to make this a regular thing.
We can’t hold Taylor, but plenty others.
Morgan Wallen would sell it out as far as country goes. I think we’re going to see some surprising shows coming our way.

I hope so.. Morgan wallen, green day, foo fighters, Linkin Park, Missy Elliott, Billie eilish would be some good recommendations
