Jeez.
If those guys were 5-6 years older they’d know that Billy was every bit as good as them at one point.
Actually Steve’s game fell off a cliff way too early too, but that was the alcohol more than the injuries.
I always say that Billy was basically Lamar Odom for about 5 years, but his body just went on him kinda early.
I probably didn't relay the story well - that was their point. That Owens was such a good guy that teams were always happen to have him on their roster even after his body broke down a bit.
Whereas, a lot of players with attitudes/jerks, maybe wouldn't have had the opportunity to play the last 4 years that Billy did.....because regardless of skills a lot of players wouldn't be worth the headache as a second or third teamer on a roster.
