Blackout Looms of ESPN on YouTubeTV

YouTube TV loses channels all the time and I’ve never see them get it back. It’s pretty hilarious. I was watching a game on NHL network (on Fubo) and the NHL Network had a YouTube TV banner on the screen (it was being sponsored by YTTV) yet you cannot get NHL network on YTTV 🤯

I am staying with YouTube TV. I am going to hold strong. The more people hang in there, the more these networks will see that they can't just keep asking people to shell out more and more money for their products each year. It's ad nauseum. I'm sick of it

What am I missing? A couple Syracuse football blowouts? And if I don't get to see some basketball games, so be it

Thanks, I saw they didn't have the channel. I was wondering if you can stream ACCN through the ESPN app. I have never tried that. The entertainment tier includes ESPN unlimited, which I've never had, so I was not sure what's included for streaming.
Yes, as upperdeck said, if you have ESPN Unlimited it should include everything within the ESPN family of networks, including ACCN, ACCNX, and ESPN+ even if you don't have them in your DirecTV plan.

Thank you both. I'll have to weigh whether to keep YouTube and sign up for ESPN unlimited, or abandon YouTube and sign up for DirecTV or Hulu live.

Just a quick note about Hulu Live (which I do not have), I've mentioned in I believe two prior posts in this thread that there can be a portability issue in that you normally can't watch it on a TV in a location different than your primary home. Though you can watch it on a desktop, tablet or mobile device. This can be important to some people.

As I mentioned, I've gone with option A for this month, but I wouldn't be happy if I had to extend that another month. One thing about having them separate is unless you are specifically looking for a game on ESPN, it's kind of "out of sight, out of mind" if you have to go to the separate ESPN app to watch things. So I've probably missed some games I might have watched when it was one-stop shopping in the YouTube TV app, but that's not necessarily the worst thing in the world.

Are you not able to 'mirror' it from a tablet or mobile device to a TV in your other than primary home location?

I have Spectrum (so obviously not Hulu Live) and a couple of weekends ago while in the Chagrin Falls, OH area (family wedding) I was able to mirror the SU/GT game from my iphone to the local Airbnb TV we were staying at.

You also reminded me that the ESPN app is a pain at times, and I'll have to log out and log back in to get the desired games to work.

I think you should be able to mirror since the initiating device you're hooking into Hulu with is not a TV.

I have until Nov 26. I'd prefer to stay with YTTV also. I did a month of ESPN Unlimited to watch SU games and was able to use my credit card rewards to come out even. But I might pause YTTV and go with DirecTV if it continues.
How does the credit card points part work in all of this.

mirroring is just a function of whether or not the app wants to let you mirror. If ESPN doesnt care it will work, if they do it wont. Not much you can do about it.

I've been a happy YTTV customer for the past 7 years or so. It offers everything that I want and dvr functionality is very good. However, to have them give out credits and I don't get one bothers me. Also, not getting content (espn) that was part of my subscription without getting a credit for that bothers me as well. Unfortunately, my billing cycle doesn't reset until the 22nd. I elected to pause my account on that date. If they get espn/disney back by then, I'll most likely resume my account. If they don't, I'm moving on for sure.

I was just on the YTTV website and was able to apply for the "$10/off for 6 months" deal.

I also noticed that my billing date was pushed out, which corresponds with the "2 weeks free" that I was promised in a YTTV service chat after complaining about the Disney/ESPN issue. This will all help offset what will hopefully only be a 1 month subscription to DirecTV, which we only use for the sports that we're currently missing.

For those non-YTTV subscribers:

I'm ready to move on from YTTV. I'm done with them issuing credits to some and not to others (like myself - a 7 year subscriber) and this current crap without any reduction in my monthly subscription when I originally signed up for streaming WITH ESPN and now, I'm not getting it which forces me to do one day passes with Hulu. Screw that.

Here is where I am:
YouTube TV Monthly Plan: $82.99
NFL RedZone with Sports Plus: $10.99

I could care less about the sports package but my wife can't live without the Tennis Channel. On top of these costs, I pay $19.99 for ESPN Select.

So here's my question... is there another service that can offer me essentially what I currently pay for but for less money?
