Don’t know why people are ragging on Jesses rebounding. 11th in the country and 2nd in the ACC.
Yup. Bad look. The childish ‘he wasn’t really good anyways, we didn’t really want nor need him’ stuff. Sounds like an angry jilted lover.

Optimistic that cumulatively that we’ll be okay, but no doubt Jesse was an unexpected loss, that we all hope we will overcome with our new additions and added experience and development of our young players.

We were outside the top 300 for defensive rebounding. Its not unfair to point out someone’s gotta grab them. There was no boxing out.

Jesse was a very solid offensive rebounder though.

If you are unable to rebound your opponents misses at a high rate then you are a bad defensive team period end of story. There are two outcomes that complete a defensive possession, a made shot and a defensive rebound. Since no teams shoot 100% in any games under any circumstances you could make the argument that defensive rebounding is more important than the actual defensive scheme.

Have to say that of all my concerns for next season, rebounding has to be the absolute last

Jesse was 13th in the country and 2nd in the ACC for defensive rebounding.

Offensive rebounding he was 33rd and 4th.

With the shooters and playmakers we have I’m hoping rebounding will be secondary on offensive side

You could tell people feel betrayed not necessarily by what Jesse did, but moreso what came out afterwards about everything, especially his comments.

Joe leaving made sense for both parties. At this point, it looks like Jesse leaving made sense for neither party, and wasn’t handled well.

That’s leading to more vitriol against Jesse and his production

14th in the ACC in combined opponent rebounds.
12th in rebounding margin.

so ...umm...yes...it's a problem that needs to be addressed .
