He faked an injury twice, he complained about every legitimate foul called on him, he swatted away an SMU players hand trying to help him up off the floor, and he swatted away a UConn asst. coach trying to talk to him. WHAT A PUNK!!!
The last injury he faked was with UConn down 17, the game apparently lost, a phantom blow from a non-existing screen. Miraculously, when the lead got cut to about 7, he was back like nothing happened.

I wonder if purvis' back hurts from carrying boatright and the entire state on it

Since 1999 the UConn Recruiting Philosophy has been to get good guards who are annoying or criminally inclined.

It started with Fats El Amin

Yeah, there was also some sensational broadcasting by the pbp guy and Doris Burke. The pbp announcer stated that Boatright was fighting his alleged injury the entire game, ah, no he wasn't. And, Doris, whom I really like as a color commentator, stated how no one really expected UConn to be here in the championship game or expected them to win it. Really, for the past three days that's all they practically talked about and hyped with highlights ad nauseam ...that come March, programs like UConn (due to their recent incredible runs) just become a different animal. Not to mention the fact that the AAC is pretty weak and literally playing home games was a huge advantage for them...

Doris Burke is terrible. She is laughably terrible. The only reason she doesnt get lit up more is because she is female and people are afraid that calling her out will be seen as sexist. Well NOT calling her out for fear of it being thought of as sexist is actually way more sexist than calling her out based on merit and holding her to the same standards as her male counterparts.

Having said that...MOST of the analysts are TERRIBLE>

Well the last piece of the puzzle Calhoun had in place is gone now with Boatright. That ragtag cast of characters they have left won't be making any AAC runs anytime soon. Without a move to a power conference soon that program is circling the drain. All those titles will drift away soon enough.

Purvis will be a junior and Jalen Adams (and Enosch but he's a local kid) is coming in next year; I bet those are the last big recruits they get. Once Purvis and Adams is gone the cupboard will be bare.

I'd like to think this, but why? It's not like Jalen Adams or even Hamilton for that matter didn't know what he was getting into (sh it conference) when he signed. I will say however that with only two teams taken, and it's conference chapion getting a 6 seed, there is almost no margin of error for any team in the AAC from the standpoint of the committee.

It was like Willis Reed 2.0!

Sadly, this says more about the other analysts than it does about Doris.

It seems none of them realize that they don't have to fill every minute of game time with commentary nor do they realize that viewers would prefer to hear about the game at hand rather than other games, teams, players, coaches and especially their own lives.

BSPN does not care at all about what the average viewer wants to see...it's ALL about self-promotion for them

it's comical that during Sunday's game, they split the screen for 2-3 minutes toward the end of the game to show Boatright sitting on the bench while the game was being played

Meh. That happens elsewhere in life for sure - we still accept the bogus gender pay gap figures even though it's a blatant lie.
Not sure Doris Burke is the best example.

One example of how terrible Doris B is was a few years back when we had Devo. On one defensive play, he challenged a three point shot and was called for a foul. She exclaimed that, of course, you dont foul a jump shooter (which is something they only say when someone is called for a foul yet never when a well contested jump shot does NOT result in a foul).

A few minutes later, Devo, still smarting from being called for a foul resulting in three shots, did NOT hotly contest the 3...and she called him out and said "you have to challenge that shot more aggressively"

I liked the one a year or two ago when she implied Mike Hopkins didn't hustle as a player. She definitely showed her lack of Syracuse knowledge on that one. She was obviously unaware of his "human floorburn" nickname. My suggestion: don't try to be witty when you're clueless.

He is a little biatch on the court! Fouls number 3 and 4 were blatantly obvious. I have no idea how he could even begin to argue them. I also loved his decision making with the ball. Down 7 and making a run he comes back into the game and within two possessions he guns a 25 foot three pointer early in the shot clock.

She likely confused him with Scott McCorkle

They will be ok for a few years assuming people stick around. They have a good recruiting class coming in -- and with Purvis, Hamilton, Adams and Brimah they should contend for top 3 in the AAC.
