Fans (from lots of teams) on Facebook are losing their minds that RJ Davis wasn’t included on this list. They are saying because Elliot Cadeau also brings the ball up a lot, soaybe he isn’t seen as a true point guard? Not sure, but he’s having an unreal season for sure.

SPRINGFIELD, MASS. — The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced the Top 10 candidates for the 2024 Bob Cousy Award.

Fans (from lots of teams) on Facebook are losing their minds that RJ Davis wasn’t included on this list. They are saying because Elliot Cadeau also brings the ball up a lot, soaybe he isn’t seen as a true point guard? Not sure, but he’s having an unreal season for sure.

I think Virginia’s Beekman who leads the ACC in both assists (6.5) and steals (2.4) along with an amazing assist/ turnover rate of 3.33 is actually the snubbed player. RJ Davis like our own talented Judah Mintz is a combo scoring guard more than a point guard. Davis averages only 3.3 assists, 1.35 steals and a mediocre 1.85 assist/turnover ratio. Davis leads in scoring with 21 points/game in the ACC. Beekman averages just 13 points a game but with his assists, steals and lack of turnovers as a great facilitator, is responsible for more overall points for his team.
