Bowl Projections After Clemson Game

There is no good pizza South of the Mason-Dixon line.
I beg to differ.

Flippin' Pizza in the DC area was started by a guy from LI. The edge of the crust is not as "tall" as what I usually see on the Island, but that's a quibble. It is very good overall, probably the best in DC.

Maxie's in Baltimore (corner of 31st and N Charles by Johns Hopkins) serves NY-quality pizza. I would recommend it for a pre- or post-game meal to anyone going to Homerwood for an MLax game.

They both pass my ultimate NY pizza test - they both drip red grease when you fold the slice in half and eat it. Also, they're both probably the only places in DC-Balto that sell by the slice.

Ending a ~5 year bowl drought in the biggest city in a school’s home state sounds like a recipe *for* ticket sales.

it'll pale to the ND game a month earlier. As Tomcat said above, if they matched us up against an exciting matchup like Penn St, maybe it makes sense but Iowa or Northwestern isn't moving the needle

That’s like saying playing late season games in the Dome are an attendance drain because we’ve already played 4-5 games there throughout the season.

We’d get an attendance in the low 30’s in Yankee Stadium if we played 11 warm bodies from the B1G, regardless of the ND game.

No, you wouldn't. Believe me. You want Nashville =D
Is this a former Army FA stationed at Ft Bliss guy talking? LOL

El Paso is fine for a day or two. If we get the Sun Bowl I'll probably stay 2 nights and do a day trip to sight see. I'd look at flying into AUS or SAT and spending another couple days at Big Bend.

Would love to go back to the Music Bowl, NASH-VEGAS is one of the best cities in the country!
Short drive for you...If it makes sense I'll be there. Flying back from family visit the day prior. Might be a logistical issue.

I need warmish weather, and west of the Mississippi

Start paying attention to the ACC standings. After the playoff/NEW Year's 6 the other bowls use conference record, not overall record to select teams. The ACC has a one win rule. If SU went 6-2 in conference (entirely possible), a bowl could select a 5-3 team before SU, but not a 4-4 team. Since SU, Pitt, and BC are lepers to all ACC bowl tie-ins except Pinstripe and maybe Military bowls, the Orangemen will have to finish well enough to force one of the warmer destination bowls to take them.

Yep this is my worry. Unless it’s the Pinstripe we will get passed up by every other bowl if they have a chance. That’s why we have to go 7-1 in ACC and take it out of their hands

Not so fast. I don't believe that BC or Pitt fans travel well either.

It would be fun to beat Coyle, but only after thanking him and shaking his hand for hiring Dino.
