One thing stands out to me - FT shooting - 12 for 28 - yikes!
Yeah, that's got to get better. We're known as a program that historically has struggled from the line, but if we're going to take advantage of the new rules this year, we need to convert at a higher % from the charity stripe.

tyler ennis no assists?

I have been watching pretty closely since 1981. Bad free throw shooting never surprises me. Pretty sure that I will die one day after a missed free throw. Or soriasis.

Especially FT shooting from our backup point guard. That is a liability. Could cost us a game at a most inopportune time this year. He's got to improve that. I know it's only 3 games, but 6-14 won't cut it. Rant over.

10 assists for the entire team is a recipe for disaster. That indicates a lot of individual moves and not a lot of ball movement

well the usual justification for ducking top teams and playing these early little debby games is that we need to play a few lightweights to gel as a team. frankly i'm not seeing it. just helter skelter one on one get the W. no real development aspect whatsoever.

0 assists from Ennis is quite concerning to me. I think he'll be fine but it's insane he couldn't put a few on the board against Colgate.

One thing stand out to me, Tyler Roberson can't hit the broadside of a barn

He seems to rebound pretty well for a frosh, and I think he looks like he's got a good shot, but ultimately he may have the yips. A bit like Cooney last year, a better shot than what we're seeing, but we'll be waiting a year to see the results.

Did you watch the game? TR missed two dunks: one that was very aggressive and probably best left to the Warricks and Grants of the world; the other very awkward in that a Colgate player had just fallen down under the basket thus distracting TR. I've had this happen and after a few severe ankle sprains the last thing you want is to come down on someone else's foot or whatever body part is int he way.

TR will probably be a better frontcourt scorer this season than either DC2 or Roc, and he'll challenge Grant - perhaps not this year, but certainly next.

Great observation. On paper, this team is loaded, with an INCREDIBLE amount of talent. However I agree, it's going to take a while for this group to develop as a TEAM.

Hopefully that's what Maui is for.
