Interesting game...not much competition but 'Orange has some work to do as indicated by following:

1. Not fluid in half court...few assists with Triche leading with 3
2. Rebounding is okay...but Christmas with 7 and Triche with 6 led the way...need more from Melo and Keita was nearly shut out..CJ and KJ each had 5
3. KJ led with 16 pts followed byDion with 14 and Triche and CJ with 9 ea.
4. Scoop's game was not on target tonight...low assists2 and 3 TOs and not in flow of game
5. MCW was up and down but as frosh gets a pass...he looks great and not so much

As a team...no low post game because few balls went into the low post...and 'Cuse had a significant height advantage...that is why Triche had 6 boards...just bigger all around. Waiters can score no doubt...Triche had a good all around came with 9 points, 6 boards, and 3 assists..both he and Scoop had 3 TOs...

'Cuse must have more low post scoring and rebounding than what we saw tonight from low post. The scoring can only come from having the ball in the post...did not do well here. We do not seem to be fluid as 14 assts on 30 baskets probably means too much one-one playing.

Scoop did not show much this game...that concerns me...Triche was aggressive as indicated by boards...needs to shoot better...Waiters can score and dribble and score...KJ played good all around game...CJ the same...but without Melo and Keita getting the ball down low this team will not reach our expectations of a final 4.

Am still interested in seeing MCW and Triche play together...only guard combo not used.

You think Triche had a good all around game? Did you watch the game or just looking at box scores.

Triche actually got credit for 4 TO's (Scoop had 2) and Triche should have had 5 but Fab bailed him out of one. 4-5 TO's and 3-10 shooting in 16 minutes is NOT anywhere near a good game. The only reason he got 7 boards was because he followed every one of his bricks and he was taller and stronger than most the guys for Fordham.

Triche definitely had one of the worst games out of everybody today.

They need to work on entering the ball into the post to Fab. If gets the ball within 6 feet he has offensive moves to score. Very disappointing that the guards did not enter the ball to him. Don't know why JB doesn't insist on it. Keita can't do anything but dunk but not getting the ball into Fab close in will hurt against the better teams where we can't just rely on athleticism to score.

Our centers didn't get many rebounds because they were out altering shots.

Agree on getting the ball to Melo but he didn't do a great job presenting for the pass. He was routinely on the weak side on offense (and behind his defender). On the rebounding, that came from our poor offensive flow in the half-court. Most of the offense was Melo screening out top. Well in half the plays of the first-half, the guards would get that screen and then try to score instantly on a (usually) ill-advised shot. Doing this ensured that our big man was 20 feet from the basket when a rebound was going to come off.

LOTS to work on in the half court offense.

Melo didn't have rebounds because Melo was screening when shots were being taken. It's not really indicative of how his rebounding was, nothing bounced towards him really.
