Don’t understand how UNLV is honorable mention and this writer ignores us.

I also think Kansas and North Carolina are better than Kentucky.

Is it Bill Simmons? Friggin guy is obsessed with talking about Vegas.
The honorable mention were
Gonzaga, Villanova, Florida, UNLV, Michigan State.
9. Texas
8. Arizona
7. UCLA
6. Louisville
5. Indiana
4. Duke
3. Kansas
2. North Carolina
1. Kentucky

Lol. UNLV has no business being on that list.

What’s the rationale for Texas? Can make a boat load of cash while nobody cares if you suck because the fans don’t care about hoops?

The guy is drunk. Indiana? What have they done in 30 plus years. Better off listening to coaches on this.
This person is a blogger who went to something called Geneva College. Not Hobart. Geneva College.

It is apparently in Beaver Falls, PA. I think their biggest claim to fame is that the football field they play on is shared with the Beaver Falls HS team that Josh Hough and Joe Namath played on.

By his own judging standards...Syracuse probably should be in there.
Certainly ahead of Oregon and UNLV.

"Based on a combination of history (both recent and ancient) at the school, the program's culture/fans and recruiting pull, we've ranked the most attractive jobs in the sport."

But...on the other hand..."recruiting pull" hasn't been great in years in terms of attracting 5 stars.
And that's what years of mediocrity can do to a program...render it out of mind.

Will be very interesting to see what happens when JB is gone.

Michigan and Michigan State are the 2 best Big 10 jobs. Heck Illinois, Ohio State and Wisconsin have had more success in that league the past 30 years. I’ll take all 5 of those jobs over Indiana.
Disagree.
In this situation I follow the Theo Epstein theory of winning: "If you can win at a place like Boston w/ the Red sox, or Chicago w/ the Cubbies, that's always better".
Michigan State and Michigan have been right up there w/ Indiana. But especially in terms of tradition, if you can win a NC at IU, its like nothing else in the B1G. JMHO

Nova is not a better job than us?? Absurd.

Only 3 private schools on the list. Hard for them to remain competitive with the large public schools and the resources they can tap into.

This list is such nonsense. It’s like taken from bad Wikipedia research. I checked this writer and his twitter profile. He’s trash and so is Bleacher Report.

Texas???
I live just outside Austin and usually attend 1 or 2 Texas games a year. For minor opponents the stands are empty, especially if football season is still underway. The only games that sell out (capacity of less than 17,000) is when Kansas or another highly ranked team comes to town. Fans in the high-dollar seats are rich alums who sit on their hands most of the game.

UNLV hasn't been relevant in 30 years. There's absolutely no reason to put them on any list unless you want people to rage click your article. Gonzaga is not a good job. They have a great coach. That's so stupid.

Texas is only on there for potential: great local talent base, money, Austin. But the rest of their top 10 jobs basketball is #1 at that school. At Texas it's something to do between the bowl game and the spring game.

My rankings:
Group 1
UNC, Kentucky, Kansas, Duke

Group 2
Arizona, Louisville, Syracuse, Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State

Group 3
Indiana, Florida, Villanova, , Maryland, Connecticut, Virginia (I feel weird about this - is it the school now or Bennett? Great recruiting area in the DMV)

Edited to include Virginia, Ohio State and Maryland because I knew I was forgetting a couple obvious ones.

Michigan’s Jordan Brand and has more money. That’s why I rate them over Cuse.
