BR ranking top college basketball jobs.

1. UNC
2. Kentucky
3. Kansas
4. Duke
5. Louisville
6. Michigan
7. Syracuse
8. Arizona
9. Nova
10. Michigan State

Or am I nuts
That’s about right. But I think Indiana is a better *job* than Nova. They have an incredible fan base. So is UCLA. But Jay Wright is a great coach and was a perfect fit for Nova and turned them into a power. And Northeast schools like Nova, Cuse and UConn have certain recruiting advantages. I think Ohio State should arguably be in the top 6-15 range as well. Maryland, too, when you’re talking about overall programs, but they’ve been hurt a bit, like us, because they left their longtime conference and lost a bit of their identity. But they have a rich history and they're in a fertile recruiting territory. UNLV and Texas on this Bleacher Report list is laughable. Finally, I still don’t understand why Georgetown (still sucks) hasn’t been able to turn it around. They’re not a top 10 program but they should not be behind Providence and Seton Hall in the Big East.

I completely forgot about Ohio State and Maryland!

Will be very interesting to see what happens when JB is gone.

We’ll be fine. We have strong recruiting pools nearby, history, fan support, Melo Center, ACC, and a good party scene with plenty of girls. We’ll have no problem finding high level candidates to take over.

I think a better question is what does Duke look like when Coach K is gone. He’s that brand not Duke and Duke without the Coach K aura is a different sell to recruits/Nike/media and the like.

I think they're the exact same situation.

Good points but I think Duke will be fine. Being on Tobacco Road doesn’t hurt, and K is leaving quite a legacy there. They may not dominate like they used to but Duke should always be relevant.

I think they’ll still be relevant but not consistently in the top 10-15 and always landing the best recruits, which would IMO make them fall back a tier or so into the pack of schools they’ve been “above” for the last 25+ years. I think that’s a significant drop when discussing their current standing in college basketball.

Pretty much the only guy I could see sustaining things is Brad Stevens but I can’t imagine him leaving the Celtics to coach college.

That's a good way to put it, they'll still be relevant. I don't think the next coach at Duke will be given the same leeway K has right now. I think the academics there are not happy with the one-and-done situation getting as out of hand as much as it has and the number of players dependent on the consortium with NC A&T to stay eligible. It's one thing to recruit a player, have him have a spectacular year so he decides to leave early, and quite another to recruit a player that says in advance that he'll be there just for a year and then he's going to leave. Did anyone think that Zion Williamson would play a second year at Duke? Did anyone think they could legally own the Brooklyn Bridge for $5?

Lol. UNLV has no business being on that list.

What’s the rationale for Texas? Can make a boat load of cash while nobody cares if you suck because the fans don’t care about hoops?

Agreed with Texas.
Good money. little pressure, history of attracting good recruits, fairly fertile recruiting area. It's a program that can recruit well and yet the expectations are low.
