Brad Stevens

Sorry I was off a by a year. Boston needs a rim protector more than any position. Drummond is the guy Ainge wants. Maybe they trade those Brooklyn Net lottery picks and get him via trade, but Ainge wants Drummond/Love and has the cap space for it.

It's absurd how many first rounders they have coming in

But if I'm Detroit, I'm building around Drummond

Yeah Rondo/Jeff Green/Billy King have given him the ammo. That is assuming Drummond wants to stay with the salary cap jump coming he could get a max deal pretty much anywhere. I don't know if he wants to stay in Detroit or not but you gotta figure he is a CT kid so NYK and BOS have to have a chance.

My uncle's brother (my godfather) coaches/coached him at depauw university and his ultimate dream is the IU job. He would leave the NBA in a nanosecond for IU, its his ultimate dream.

So you're saying people's desired job path doesn't change over time?

Detroit has full control for 7 years however if they are willing to pay. He would be a great player for Boston however.

I don't watch Boston enough, but you mentioned they may highly invest in Love. Haven't Sully or Olynyk played well enough to potentially be positioned at the 4, and use other assets to fill in a key player at another spot rather than the 4? Or nobody seems them as future starters.

Ainge is a tinkerer. Sully and Olynyk are means to an end.

It's Beantown. They need stars.

Also, Love would be very popular there. I'm not going to say anything more than that on the subject.

Stevens hates Sullinger. He wasn't disappointed when he was ruled out for the year. Olynyk is a rich man's Matt Bonner. Celtics would take Love. It would't shock me if they tried to trade Sullinger if Stevens stays. Stevens likes his guys to play hard and Sullinger was in Stevens doghouse for coasting and not playing hard. His weight has been questioned by Ainge.

If Detroit gives Drummond a 5 yr max deal he isn't leaving but if they let him get to FA in 2 years I think he is gonzo.

I mean they stay in contact, its not like they haven't talked since he coached him. His dream is the Indiana job, that hasn't changed. But thats fine, don't have to buy what I'm saying. Sorry it doesn't fit your opinion, choose to ignore it next time.

Not to mention my "cousin" played at Butler and my uncle was in contact with Stevens daily, but again I know nothing.

I think the only colleges Stevens would listen to right now are IU and Duke.

How's that high number of draft picks model working out for the Sixers?

That was more an observation than anything, but Boston is in a different spot than Philly anyway, since they are owed picks from other teams. They have Brooklyn's pick in 2016 and 2018 and can swap in 2017; if the Nets bottom out the Celtics could be a playoff team and still picking in the top 5.

Because the nba blows and college coaches cant succeed there. He will get his brain working correctly again, realize he made his whore money and go back to where he belongs which is college basketball.

We get it...you don't like the nba and the best basketball on the planet.

He's actually done a solid job there and is in no harm of his job security,IMO. They have like a million picks.

I think Brad Stevens gets the first call from a Duke when Coach K retires, and depending on the timing, from Carolina too.

I don't trust Insiders that are not on the "inside" enough. The quality of the timeliness of info that they possess is often not current enough but it is stated as fact.
