BRANDON TRICHE!!!

Good game by BT -- and could have been even better. He got into position for a couple of lay-ups and just missed. Kid hustled hard all game.

Nice thing about this team -- Kris and Scoop can have mixed games, and others pick up the slack. BT was one of those, along with James.

BT played with enthusiasm and heart tonight. He led team in boards with 7 and managed 7 points...though he missed a few open 3s otherwise game would not have been close. I believe in last couple of games he is getting more assertive and demanding the ball although I thought in the first half Scoop was not looking for him on baseline wing. His hustle today was terrific...and with dion, dirty, melo and Christmas we did very well when two of our key guys, Scoop and Fair did not play well.

Very Dave Johnson like.

Now that is an apt comparison.

Never did I think that Brandon Triche would do something that would get him favorably compared to David Johnson. Way cool. Hope he can do more of that kind of thing. He's the best rebounder of the guards.

Plays like that follow dunk make me wish Brandon would remember how freaking athletic he is. He really doesn't get enough credit for his athleticism.

He's strong and he's got a good vertical. I'd like to see a lot fewer missed layups and a lot more dunks in and-one situations.

He's also quick off of his feet. I remember one game this year, not sure which one, when he drove, put up a short floater and was fouled, but still bounced up and tipped in the missed floater. It was a ridiculously athletic play, even if it was after the whistle. He's like a pogo stick when he wants to be.

He's also got better judgment on where his misses will end up than any of his teammates. Great ability to follow his own shot.
