BREAKING: Thomas Rawls is out today for disciplinary reasons

I wonder how long CMU knew this and may have prepared for this all week while SU is preparing for him to play. Key...who adjusts better.

I hate to say this, sort of. I wish he was playing because I want to see how SU performs against the best CMU had to offer. If we steam roll them, how do we know how the game could have been impacted by Rawls in the game.

I completely understand what you're saying, but I just want to be 2-0 at the end of the day even if it means their entire team is being disciplined and we're playing their cheerleaders.

Looks like the bookies were nervous regarding the point spread and changes had to be made.

That was my initial thought. However, thems the breaks.

BUT...can their QB RUN? Or do they have a running QB on the roster? That's what I'm more concerned about.

I'm not so much worried about that. 2-0 is 2-0 is 2-0. We don't see that much so it will help outlr mindset for Maryland regardless.

What I don't want to see (and am not expecting to see given the opener and week off) is an SU team who isn't quite as focused knowing their two best skill players are out. No letup.

Or the backup having the game of his life.

It will only matter when the playoff selection committee is looking at our overall schedule portfolio to determine if we're worthy of the last playoff spot. :)

I hear you, but its too bad--I want to beat them at full strength to avoid all of the board talk about how they weren't at full strength, how our victory is deceptive, etc. that will undoubtedly ensue.

But you're right--I want 2-0.

We were going to be 2-0 anyway. No doubt in my mind. I just wanted to see how the team played against their best players.

Hey, the guy on the street didn't care that we squeaked by Nova with our starting QB out for a half. Why should we care about CM missing a few key players.

Hopefully, Rawls will see all the opportunities he has in front of him , and make the changes to be successful. Let's Go Orange!
