I put Ohio State at 4.
They haven’t done anything to show me they are close what they were last year.
Their defense isn’t as good as Notre Dame’s.

Ohio State misses a JK Dobbins type RB for their offense.

I would take Notre Dame on a neutral field with Ohio State this year.

I really think outside of the top 4 in your list only Florida could beat any of the top 4.
Notre Dame would beat the rest of your top 10 by multiple scores.

I agree. I think BYU would soundly beat Northwestern and Miami. Cinci would be a tougher game but I'd give BYU a slight edge. I think a lot of people have no idea how good BYU is. Their offense is dynamite.

I have been to South Bend and IMHO, South Bend is a complete hole.

Yeah but most of us here also count JB's vacated wins. It's kind of ironic that ND would vacate wins for academic violations during the same year they played Alabama in the title game. My sense is that ND's academic standards for football players are a wee bit more stringent than Bama's.

They might not be that good but if you think you should be ranked higher and want to prove it you take that game no matter what the circumstances are. You are BYU not Notre Dame.

They're working on games against opponents that are better than UW.

Actually BYU's decision was prescient. Washington booked a game with Utah to be played tomorrow. Utah's game with ASU was cancelled. If BYU had signed that deal then UW would have just said sorry we're playing Utah.

ND lost 2 starters on the oline. Book had a good game today and that gave them enough offense to over come the issues they were having. The won because the D was really good today.. UNC did a poor job of getting their best players into space but Howell was avg and they couldnt run and thats what ND needs to do to win out, play D.

remember UNC couldnt score on us for 3 quarters either.

UNC is just an OK team.

Mack took a team with real good talent on offense and got it to 6-3 but almost turned it into 3-6.

Any guess on that line next week? I'm saying SU + 35, maybe a little higher. If it is that high I'd take the points. I've seen Kelly in these spots and he tends to stay on the ground while not looking to run up the score.

Ohio State at 7-0 (at best now) should not be in over a 9-1 Texas A&M or undefeated Cincinnati. I get it’s not their fault but resume has to be a factor as much as eye test is.

I don’t think the CFP has the balls to leave them out if they go undefeated but they should

hmmm, if we look as bad tomorrow as we did last week I would guess 42 points. Top 2 team vs one of the 10 worst teams in the FBS.. not good

Maybe not this year though I'm not sold on Ohio State yet. But if he keeps recruiting studs like true Kyren Williams and Michael Mayer then it might not take long. Those two are the two best in the country at their respective positions. Williams reminds me of your boy Zeke back when Zeke could play before he got paid. Mayer would be a first round draft pick right now as a freshman.

Also have two TE recruits and have capable TEs on the roster but we don't use them enough

I think Dino is taking a similar approach building philosophy as Kelly. Recruiting has to continue to get better but the depth will get better

I would have to think ND will be a 43 point favorite. They may score on every drive in which their starters are in and we won’t get on the board unless we force a turnover in their end.
