He's built like Ken Dorsey, who played in the NFL.That’s ridiculous. He’s a string bean. I wonder if he’s even ever been hit live by P5 defensive end.

I'm too young for that hahaUh oh...memory problems, gbo? Recent head trauma by any chance? We might have to take you off the board for a little bit until you have passed our concussion protocol! Some...have never returned...
He will get bigger ... at some pointHe's built like Ken Dorsey, who played in the NFL.
If slayton was an animal he’d be cthulhuif he were an animal, he's be a horse 1000%
Yeah...what would a NFL scout know about talent?Well that scout is an idiot.
I remember similar things being said about Barkley and other false prophets.
Having watched Lawrence I buy hes a first round talent already.
Kind of missing the point guys. Those guys were not great in the NFL. They were studs in College. We play college football.Ryan Leaf.
It's kind of a muddled point as the pro scout said he would be a first round pick in the NFL, which they miss on all the time.Kind of missing the point guys. Those guys were not great in the NFL. They were studs in College. We play college football.![]()

Lawrence is an uncommon freshman.Genuine question, how many of those were freshmen when they blew us out? Just Vick?
They're good because they're the best at what they do. Success% is not something that is in a vacuum. For instance, if you play baseball, and fail to get a hit 70% of the time over a 15 year career, guess what? You're a hall of famer. Kind of the same in scouting. If you're only right 40% of the time as an NFL scout, well then you're pretty much hitting par.well if they were so good there'd be no 1st round busts...but ok
Surprised to see this take so many times. Watson was skinny, but Lawrence has good size. That’s ridiculous. He’s a string bean. I wonder if he’s even ever been hit live by P5 defensive end.
Maybe to pro scouts. Its one thing to be an uncommon pro talent vs being an uncommon college football talent. Our defense struggles vs dual threats. Lawrence may very well tear us to pieces through the air, but id rather go into this vs a pocket guy than DTLawrence is an uncommon freshman.
Understood, but the scarier college qb’s tend to be dual threats. Put me against Tennessee’s Manning, Michigans Brady, etc. rather than Florida’s Tebow, UL’s jackson and VT’s Vick.Kind of missing the point guys. Those guys were not great in the NFL. I 100% agree with all of that. A great pocket passer is the lesser of 2 evils compared to a great D.T. Q.B.Understood, but the scarier college qb’s tend to be dual threats. Put me against Tennessee’s Manning, Michigans Brady, etc. rather than Florida’s Tebow, UL’s jackson and VT’s Vick.
Alls im saying is im relieved that if we must face this QB bestowed upon Clemson by the gods, at least hes a pocket and not a dual threat
It’s just relieving to head into a big road game like this feeling like we have the best chance possible to pull off an upset. I still think we have <10% odds but recent developments definitely help.I 100% agree with all of that. A great pocket passer is the lesser of 2 evils compared to a great D.T. Q.B.
I think we had a much better chance against LSU/Miami last year. Does anyone remember our last trip down there, did not go well at all. It’s just relieving to head into a big road game like this feeling like we have the best chance possible to pull off an upset. I do, but that was against Deshaun Watson right? Or was it Boyd? Regardless, we are a much better team.I think we had a much better chance against LSU/Miami last year. Does anyone remember our last trip down there, did not go well at all.
I agree. Big difference between NFL and CFB success. I also understand that defenses hate dealing with dual threats. Here's the thing that I've come to realize: KB wasn't a dual threat. His arm wasn't a threat. He was an above average runner, but an average passer (and that's probably being generous). With KB at the helm, defenses didn't have to respect the downfield passing game which made it tough to run, even with guys like Bryant, Etienne, and Feaster in the backfield.Maybe to pro scouts. With Lawrence as the starter, I think Saturday is going to be a packed house. It's going to be lit.I do, but that was against Deshaun Watson right? Or was it Boyd? Regardless, we are a much better team.
Clemson’s death valley wont be 2/3 full like LSU’s was. Clemson isnt fake news like Miami was either.
I hate that I just said fake news
Our home schedule sucks this year. With Louisville sucking and FSU/TAMU having been road games, this is one of the big games.
