Brisly Estime

Estime can go deep too. He isnt just
Lets hope the coaches also know who our WR's are going forward... If Estime only plays in the second half, then its a waste of his talent.

George Morris is a terrible return guy as well. Estime should be handling all return duties.

Estime's frame will never old up to the pounding of KOs. We need him on the field, not in the hospital.

Tavon Austin (who I think came into WVU even smaller) returned about 100 KOs over his 4 years at WVU. He added about 50 punt returns over his last 2 years. He held up pretty well.

Estime had 5 TDs in high school on returns, I think we should consider it.

I've been talking this kid up since the day he signed. How does he not get more run?/quote]
Really? Maybe because he's a true frosh who just played in his second game.

He looked great against NW. Hope he gets more PT. If he continues to produce, he will.

I feel like we'll have arrived when we have 5 play makers in the WR corps like Estime, of varying shapes and sizes.

Every heard of Trindon Holliday? All 5'5" 170lbs soak and wet of him...

My guess is that West's issues have a lot more with who is delivering the ball. Granted, he is not a burner guy (more possession type though he is pretty good rac), but he plays the true wide receiver position, and McDonald and Allen have shown little interest in letting plays develop. West is not going to be the quick out/quick slant player, which are currently the plays the O is most focused on (to its own detriment).

He never got to that deep ball that got intercepted. Both defensive backs outran him for it. He had the least chance of the 3 players to catch it. That's just not good enough.

West was solid as a third reciever last year meaning he was covered by the opposing teams weaker db's and never had double coverage. Now he is up against the top DB's and he is not capable of beating them. We do not have a true number one at this point.

Hunt/West looked good this spring and he would be a decent 2/3rd option for Hunt cause of their time together. I didn't expect Allen who can build up a chemistry with anyone and it looks like AB is #1 so far. Estime is pretty exciting to watch and it's going to be interesting to see how the staff works in all these receivers.

West is not awful, he is being mis-used like all of our other upperclassmen playmakers. West is a slot possession receiver that they are trying to force into wideout. Jerome is a pound the defense wear them out RB, but with 10 touches a game he isn't wearing out anyone. Allen is a batted ball throwing interception sprinkler who throws the ball out of bounds and he is our starting QB...LOL, only use for him is at the end of the bench.

Morris is NOT a terrible return guy...he was averaging 35 yards a return before awful blocking in the NW game...If he gets a chance to move he is a great KR.

I agree, he looked good when the scheme was working and had some blocking.

West was doing most his work against joe nassib in the Spring Game

People are critical of the backs and quarterback. How much of this criticism should be shared by the offensive line. The two games I saw, there was not much room for the backs to operate. I was at the Penn State game and Allen had no time to throw. In the Northwestern game, the defense was so bad that Allen and the offense was forced to play catch up and that is when interceptions happen. Will be interesting to see how they handle the QB minutes in the next couple games. Would like to see the back up QB play with the first unit so we have a more fair means of comparison.

Morris doesnt have near the quickness or elusiveness that Estime has. Its just not close. Put them both back there if you want, but Brisly should get the rock.

Stop. I am excited about Brisly too but Morris has been very good back there. He definitely has the quickness and elusiveness as well. You're just getting overly biased.

Brisly could be great as well...Morris is back there because he is a bigger body and can take more blows than Estime..He is currently 3rd on RB depth chart and we need him to touch the ball as much as possible because he is electric.

Morris will be the best RB in the ACC next year..quite possibly the country if the oline can figure things out.

you will see... not biased at all. i like Morris, he is a nice role player. But Estime will be something special.

Morris...a ROLE PLAYER? Dude...we all realize estime is fast as hell and elusive...apparently you don't realize how good Morris is. Guys like you were probably out golfing 18 at foxfire instead of watching Penn St.

Morris will be the starting RB next year...I hope he plays that role well. At this rate though, he will only get about 10 touches a game like Jerome is getting this year.

Fantastic.

Ok. So you're basing that on 2 games where Brisly had 4 catches. While I'm basing my background on Morris on practices for a full year and a half at the D1 level and what i've heard on our staff's opinion of him.

If the staff thought Brisly was a better option at KO return he'd be starting. Morris almost took one to the house against PSU, guy made a great tackle.

I like Estime but when Morris committed I told the board they were getting a great back ... he tore it up down here and did it against really good competition ... as did Estime ... Morris was overlooked by the schools in his backyard because of their crowded backfields but I stand by my assessment that from the moment he committed he will be a special back.

Morris is a freak. What is wrong with people thinking he is a "role player"? Football doesn't come easy to them I guess.
