Bromley out. Ugh.

ok -- time for the Offense to score 7 TD's a game here on out

He is our best defensive lineman this isn't good. I hope it isn't serious and our d lineman depth can help us. With that said Shafer has to bring the heat to get pressure with our DEs struggling outside of Sharpe's performance versus Pitt.

Injured Tuesday. Getting treatment Wednesday.

Team flys on Friday. Game is Saturday.

Maybe he's a quick healer?

Not good, but putting this in perspective cincys best dl, walter stewart, is also out.

Hopefully Brewster can keep his helmet on.
This totally sucks but hey, at least we don't have Utica Club and Flaherty backing our line up at lb.

Stewart isn't just out. He won't play another down. Brom will be back hopefully for the 'Ville. Big difference.

I am thinking Crume steps up Sat too. Brom has been forcing inside double teams freeing backers all year though, so no spin on it, it sucks losing him.

I was thinking we had to score 7 TD to win anyway though :noidea:

I was wondering what happened to Damon Walls.

Per Rahme:

"Davon has struggled with consistency since making a good early impression. I don't think he's in the picture but may be wrong. He is still out there practicing every day. I'll ask Tim Daoust about him the next time I get a chance."

It would have been nice if the coaches had figured out he couldn't contribute this season before they blew his redshirt (see: Goggins). Although maybe he's a significant asset on special teams.

I haven't seen Walls in on any plays this season - has he played? I thought he was redshirting.

Zian Jones has played, then went MIA and is now getting runs again. IMHO, he's the one who's got to step up helping Crume and Goggins in a rotation.

If Walls can give them something in there and has played then play him. He may be inconsistent overall but if he does well the few times you put him in then it's a win.

I think Welsh or Sharpe could move inside for a few plays if necessary to.

I agree with this. I actually thought Crume made some nice plays toward the end of the USF game. Be nice if he can step up.

Exactly. Crume looked fantastic last week. Was in on a lot of plays for a DT. Think he can fill that void well.

He's played in the USC, Rutgers, and UConn games according to suathletics.com.

Jones made a bunch of plays when he was in there as well. he plays mostly goal line stuff so maybe he plays a bit more

Marrone, speaking to reporters this morning, said the junior starter will accompany the team to Cincinnati, where the Orange (4-4, 3-1 Big East) will face the Bearcats (5-2, 1-1) at noon Saturday (TWCS).

Bromley, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound tackle, was hurt Tuesday in practice. Marrone said it was a lower-body injury.

"We’re working to get him back this week. I don’t want to say he’s definitely out," Marrone said. "We’re trying like heck to get him back, because that would be a major blow for us."
