That is correct. You don’t sign a punter to a $7 million dollar deal to compete with somebody on your roster. Riley will be looking for work by the start of Training Camp

You'll want to use Net Avg instead to judge them since all of them can bomb it if they wanted to but then they'll give up a ton of return yards. King finished 3rd and Riley 22nd in Net so its a pretty major upgrade. That said, Riley should be able to find a job as he's certainly one of the top 32.
