Just read the entire thread and here’s my take away. The Lallys are mad with power. Syracuse, despite decades of shooting themself in the foot, continue to be obsessed with shooting themselves in the foot. Fran Brown is a phony and never intended on staying until his youngest daughter went off to college. I keep believing the lies of smooth talking, charismatic men (got that from my mother, I think) and everything is on fire, there’s no hope, and zero I can do about it because I don’t have 25 million to donate.
Feels like an asteroid hurling towards earth and there’s nothing I can do. Might as well just grab a beer, hang out with my wife and dogs, and relax while waiting for the inevitable. What an unbelievably depressing thread. On the plus side, I think I’ve finally come to terms that this thing, sooner rather than later, is coming to an end and there’s something a bit comforting in that.
