Bryce Harper homer punctuates Washington’s fifth straight win

Grew up a Mets fan, am a Nats season ticket holder. When we did our ticket draft I back-ended a lot of my tickets hoping for a playoff push.

The funny thing is I remember listening to a sports talk show a year ago when the question was what will be the first DC team to win a title. The idiots almost all said Skins with the Caps a distant second...meanwhile the Nats had cornerstone guys in rehab in Stras, on 3rd base in Zim, and Harper. This Nats team has the potential to be Davey's dynasty that drugs and Frank Cashen ruined in the 80s.

I said it early in the season just kind of half jokingly, but an article on Grantland made the same comparison I did: this team reminds me of the 2010 Giants team that won the Series. Great pitching, good defense, and just enough offense and intangibles to get wins when they need them.
