Buckeyes in a dogfight on the big 10 network

Against the cornhuskers

I'm sorry, but Ohio State sucks. What a joke that they were ranked as high as #3. They were really living on borrowed time for the first third of the season. They also had some amazing comebacks [ND, almost all the way against MSU]. They play hard, but they just aren't that good. Craft is vastly overrated on the national level. It's amazing how average he is when he doesn't get the benefit of every call preferentially going his way. Their best frontcourt combo is small with Ross and Thomas, and their only big is largely a non-factor. Not a great formula for success.

Fringe top 20 team, at best.

BTW, my wife is an OSU grad. I've watched them play about 20 times this year [no exaggeration], and was in person to watch them lose @ Minnesota last Thursday.

Big 10 is by far the toughest conference this year.

I think OSU, Iowa, ISU, Michigan, Michigan state, Wisconsin all get in and wouldn't be suprirsed to see a 1-3 more.

ISU isn't in the Big 10.

And frankly, I'd say that the early calls about the Big 10 being the "best" might have been premature. Wisconsin and MSU are potential top 5 teams [although Wisc has had a tough patch, and might be playing their way out of that conversation]. Iowa is also very good. Michigan and Ohio State started the season rated highly, and for the most part have not lived up to the billing. Indiana--don't get me started.

I'm not saying that the B1G isn't a good conference, just that at the beginning of the year the conventional wisdom was that they had as many as 5 teams that were top 10 caliber. I'd say that perception has taken a big hit in light of recent events.

ISU? I would say the Big 12 is the toughest especially with Kansas really coming together, but I wouldnt any qualms someone saying the Big 10, just not by far.

#33 for osu... just wow.
