Buddy Boeheim: Thunder G-League

Season 5 No GIF by The Office

If/when Red is done here, I never, ever, EVER want to see a HC chosen because he happened to play for (and/or be related to) a former HC.

Full National search.
Best possible candidate.
Period.
Yeah yeah yeah. Buddy is our man. :p

Looks like he won’t be playing for BA now.

The Pacers announced on Monday their roster for 2025 Rookie/Free Agent Camp, which will take place Friday, July 4 - Monday, July 7 at the Ascension St. Vincent Center in preparation for the NBA 2K26 Summer League 2025 games, which will take place in Las Vegas from Thursday, July 10 - Monday, July 22.

First 3 rounds are July 19, 21, 23.

If we advance, the next 3 rounds are July 27, 31, Aug 3

Buddy could be available for the Quarterfinals. Unless he signs a contract.

Doubtful. Probably wouldn't want to risk injury.

Getting to be about that time to go make some cheddar over seas
Yup, if money was Buddy's primary motivator, he could do better out of the US, it seems.

Devendorf made good money and won a scoring title in the Australian League... I think the salaries are comparable to other professional leagues. Google said 19 players in the NBL made at least $1million Australian in 2023-2024. Bouncing around the G league making chump change even compared to college kids playing for NIL seems financially counterproductive long term.

Of course, he might not be motivated by money the way most are, he comes from a very wealthy family and probably would be doing ok without any income of his own.

You only get one shot to play in the NBA.

so he is free to find another team and try to stick? Swider finally moved on to play overseas correct? He seemed more NBA ready than Buddy but lots of things go into making it I guess.

So many good players.

It does not appear that Buddy made the OKC training camp roster.
Minor quibble. Training camp is just beginning. So he COULD still make the roster. Not saying he will as he signed there to be part of their G League affiliate, but it's not completely accurate. The regular season doesn't begin for 3 weeks.
