Defense is a complete disaster, amazing that we failed to meaningfully upgrade safety or linebacker with the assets invested on that side of the ball. McD to his credit is good at halftime adjustments but not sure we can overcome the lack of athleticism, it’s brutal to watch…

McDermott is too vanilla for me. He’s suppose to be a great defensive mind. But every year we see it with the Ravens and Chiefs where he is just outschemed. At some point you have to get over that hump and idk if he’s the guy that’s gonna do it for us tbh

Linebacker I can understand somewhat, zero excuse for not upgrading safety. LB at least has some solid guys and depth with Dorian and Thompson

100%. Exactly what I mean. I think McDermott is a good coach but idk if he’s the guy that’s gonna get us the Super Bowl. I like the comparison of the golden state warriors. They had Curry, Klay and Draymond. All studs and a good team. A playoff team but they weren’t gonna win the championship with Mark Jackson as the coach cause he couldn’t get over the hump. And Mark Jackson was a good coach. But as soon as Kerr became head coach the dynasty began and the Warriors we know today. I think the Bills are in a similar situation
