Buffalo Bills 2025 Thread

Anyone else think these alternate jerseys had slippery looking numbers? 2 early fumbles for a team that has been so surehanded?

This resulted in a 12 yard completion to Diggs. Unbelievable to give that up. That was the game right there. 20 yard swing.

This team has a cap based on the coaching staff and GM., we are the 1990s Cleveland Indians of football . Will never win with this regime. Perennial “pretty pretty good !” Bills

Tre’Davious White: The Bills have a cornerback problem.

Max Hairston’s return from an injury this summer is up in the air and fellow rookie Dorian Strong was just placed on the injured reserve with a neck injury. That leaves Tre’Davious White as the clear No. 2 cornerback. Based on his play, that’s a big problem for Buffalo.

White was turned around all night against the Patriots and struggled in coverage. The Bills don’t currently have much else to work with and may need to bring in a free agent or swing a trade.

There hasn't been an update on him since the season started but Gabe Davis should be activated asap. The Shavers experiment is over.

Bills go from win and 3 game lead to lose and now probably have to win Mon on the road or not even being in first place

Not a Bills fan so outside perspective. Among my SB futures preseason were KC Chiefs. AFC opening right up for them. Burrow injury, Ravens season from hell, no freaking way the NFL lets Indiana Jones beat the Chiefs, Chargers/Broncos won't overtake KC in the end. Sorry to say this team as presently constructed won't get it done in January vs KC.

I’ve been thinking about it with the clarity of a good nights sleep and I’m not as mad as last night, albeit for a fatalistic reason. I just don’t think we’re that good. We should at best be 3-2 and could easily be 2-3 or 1-4. Who have we beat?

-A crap ravens defense (only because of shenanigans)
-a jets team that barely qualifies as pro
-a saints team that probably should have had a late lead in our house
-and a terrible Miami team who took us down to the wire despite the deceptive final score, also in Buffalo

We have a strong offensive line
A great qb
A great RB
Above average TE

And that is it. Every other position is mid to bad. Lb, db, DL , WR .. not great

I think our coordinators sort of blow. Our HC is replacement level. Our GM misses more than he hits .

But what overall result do you think is more in tune with how good the team actually is? This team being 5-0 would be one of the least impressive 5-0 starts I can remember

Ed Oliver healthy is critical. Also, it’s in comparison to other teams.

Philly lost and could easily have at least 1 more loss. Chargers folded yesterday. Rams had a chance to win Th but didn’t. Lions are coming together but got rocked game 1.

I like Beane but it's hard to not admit he gets tunnel vision on certain spots and he has passed up to many players of positions of need for Dline prospects that have been misses. The Coleman pick looks like a miss, not taking a safety last year or another WR and the continued issues at DE. The extension for Groot already looks like another mistake. I can't fully blame him for the CB spot, Hairston got hurt and Strong who looks like another late round steal (Beane has hit continuously there) now on IR leaves us very diminished. Need to sign Asante Samuel Jr unless Hairston is good to go. The Milano era has to end as well, simply can't stay healthy. Great LB but he literally can't go two games without injury.

Think the season can still be a success but we gotta get a WR in here and some help at CB asap. Safety is to far gone to be addressed during the season, gonna have to hit in FA or use another high pick there.

Also I know he's lost a step but if Poyer can play get him out there. Even in a part-time role he's better then Rapp. Ditto Gabe Davis for Shavers.

No quibble with the season recap or roster summary. Both fair. But it is still fatalistic.

The larger sample size you have on a QB, the less I care about the optics of the first few games. We've been good enough to win it all with our flaws for 5years with a couple breaks. The 1seed from an easy schedule is the one break we never get as we all know. Still in decent shape for that but it sucks to have lost margin for error.

The offense is extremely vanilla. Not sure if it's Brady or Allen, but the fear of turning the ball over has turned them into mostly a dink and dunk attack.

Agree, only so much he could've done at CB.
But for LB/Safety - this was all very predictable. There's got to be some average starters on bad teams out there with like an 80 Madden rating we can get at the deadline I hope. The way we've been drafting I might rather part ways with a 2nd than a 6th. It's unreal how bad they are at angles & tackling. Doesn't help that Taron kinda looks washed as well which nobody is talking about.
Coleman really looks exactly like what all the draft gurus said he was. Jump balls cannot be your primary thing as a starting X.

Tarons been a fantastic player but he's got a lot of mileage on him and I think as you noted he's in the back half of his career. Still a great slot CB but you can tell the years are starting to impact him. I was hoping Coleman would come on a bit in his 2nd season but ya he is what he is. I will say he at least had a good 2nd half yesterday and can play a role here but certainly not as a 1 and probably not a 2.

Beane has shown he's not afraid to make trades but Buffalo doesn't have any extra early picks this year and doesn't have a sixth rounder either. We have 1-5 and two 7s.

I’m not sure why you are bringing up the past years. We didn’t have ALL these flaws for 5 years.

The offense being vanilla isn’t great but it isn’t what beats them. It’s getting away from what works for no reason that gets them into trouble. Jet sweep to Dawson Knox? Why ?

Basically exact spot as last night. KC down 3, clock under 4m, driving down field. Now they have first and goal at the 2m warning.

We couldn’t get the first and settled for the tie which was effectively the loss.
