It’s a damn crime what our coaching staff did to that team in 13s. We may never overcome that ineptitude.

Brown but agreeJax almost did the same thing. Had Worthy turned around he'd still be running.
This. All of this. Allen remains superhuman and Cook is an outstanding running back, but honestly I don’t look at the rest of the roster and see a Super Bowl champion. Bills definitely have other nice pieces but as you note Beane and McD seem to overassess the talent on the roster, especially at WR. Badly need help in the defensive secondary. And the coaching/personnel packages are mystifying- why is Ray Davis getting meaningful carries when you just paid Cook $11m?I like Beane but it's hard to not admit he gets tunnel vision on certain spots and he has passed up to many players of positions of need for Dline prospects that have been misses. The Coleman pick looks like a miss, not taking a safety last year or another WR and the continued issues at DE. The extension for Groot already looks like another mistake. I can't fully blame him for the CB spot, Hairston got hurt and Strong who looks like another late round steal (Beane has hit continuously there) now on IR leaves us very diminished. Need to sign Asante Samuel Jr unless Hairston is good to go. The Milano era has to end as well, simply can't stay healthy. Great LB but he literally can't go two games without injury.
Think the season can still be a success but we gotta get a WR in here and some help at CB asap. Safety is to far gone to be addressed during the season, gonna have to hit in FA or use another high pick there.
Also I know he's lost a step but if Poyer can play get him out there. Even in a part-time role he's better then Rapp. Ditto Gabe Davis for Shavers.
The real question regarding Davis is why is he so bad this year? Hes regressed big timeThis. All of this. I would never be happier than to come back here in January and eat crow, but I’m really concerned about where this is heading, and that was before the loss Sunday night…
KC losing to Jax helps improve that margin of error. No quibble with the season recap or roster summary. Both fair. But it is still fatalistic.
The larger sample size you have on a QB, the less I care about the optics of the first few games. We've been good enough to win it all with our flaws for 5years with a couple breaks. The 1seed from an easy schedule is the one break we never get as we all know. Still in decent shape for that but it sucks to have lost margin for error.
AFC might not be very good. Indy , jags , bills 4-1. Are any of those teams exceptional ?KC losing to Jax helps improve that margin of error.
Those NFC teams will all be in the playoffs. Tampa has a great shot at the 1 seed. Their schedule is soffftt the second half of the year.Indy has been solid, one bone head play away from 5-0
Look at the NFC
Philly outgained every game
SF 5 one score games should really be 3-2
Tampa 4-1 when probably should be 1-4
Lions after game one have played well
GB ehh
Rams could easily be 5-0 or 1-4.
crazy year all over
There are only a couple good teams
a bunch of teams that can play well
a bunch of teams that blow games they should have won
Colts a 20-1 to win the SB is a decent future bet if they are gonna keep scoring
Fear not .,we’ve resigned Spector to the practice squad. We’re getting the band back together . Let’s go get Nate odoms and Ray Bentley while we’re at it
