Buffalo Bills 2025 Thread

It's almost as if forcing these men to play an actual tackle football game with 2.5 days rest leads to more injuries. And the later in the year you go, the more essential recovery is. NO THURSDAY GAMES UNLESS YOU ARE COMING OFF A BYE

Bills and Sabres are perennial MASH units.

Pegula needs to upgrade the training and medical staffs of both franchises but he’s too cash-strapped to until the new stadium is open.

Bills lost 70 yards on sacks.
Titans only gave up 3 sacks to the Texans last week and they had been sacked more than anybody going into that game.

put a call into Dabol to serve as a consultant. its time to get desperate.

If you were told the Bills would have a 100 yard rusher, 100 yard receiver, and hold the opponent to 2-12 on 3rd down conversions, you'd probably feel pretty good about our chances.

Seasons like this for the Billls makes it easier to be a Cowboys fan: no expectations so no disappointments. Hope the Bills can get things righted.

Houston OL has generally been poor for awhile now and we had 0 sacks.

Yup, Bills DL is such a mash unit we couldn't take advantage and have 1 sack in 3 games. Bosa is playing hurt to and Rousseau has been abysmal rushing the passer. Fox should be active next week but beyond not sure there's much we can do. Hoecht and ED are massive losses and it does't help that Carter and the Rookie DE are also out for the year. That's 3 DE's gone plus multiple secondary pieces in Rapp, Hamlin and Strong and now Bernard as well.

Still think we need to lean toward cleaning house. McDermott has done an incredible job but we've reached his ceiling, we need to make a move.

This is funny. Such an awful call considering the game flow.

I absolutely don't want this to be the playcall there, but I would say that if the OL does its job, we probably pick up the 1st down. Instead the line abused us as they did most of the game. Not sure I would have felt particularly great about a QB sneak with the way our line was playing either but definitely would have preferred that over this.

My thing is, you can’t say “well the play call is fine because Cook is the best weapon….. but the OL didn’t do its job”. The OL was struggling mightily and just stopped Cook on third. That’s all part of it. If everyone does their job perfectly every play you’d pretty much succeed every time. The handoff was telegraphed completely and not shockingly got destroyed.

Even if the line wasn't getting abused, I just absolutely hate delayed handoffs like that counter when you just need 1 yard. Tbf the way our offense was playing I don't know what play we could have really been confident in anyways, but yeah, just a bad performance in so many ways.

Completely agree.

It's pretty comical at this point how made of glass the defense is. Every. Single. Year.
Love Herbstreit acting like Bernard was the big one. Probably not a top 9 injury they have.

I normally feel like dunking on the OC is such low hanging fruit for every fan base that loses.
Man, the Nate Tice "Lol Mesh again" foresight is pretty damning. Just in case Allen's frustration wasn't enough.
This was almost inevitable though. Need an offensive HC man.

I mean look injuries happen but Buffalos on like a 3+ year run of the defense just being crushed each year by injuries. The LB's 2 years ago, the d-line last year and now essentially all of the above this year. They get a decent amount of guys back next year but DE again looks like a mess as only Bosa and Hoecht ( in a small sample size) have shown the ability to rush the passer despite Buffalo spending tens of millions on the position and draft picks.

Secondary also has major issues. Taron Johnson looks shot and we have zero depth at Safety and CB. Strong's future is uncertain and Tre is highly likely to retire. Gotta hope Taron can somehow rebound because I don't know how you can cut him.

Gonna have to re-sign Bosa and probably spend another pick on a DE somewhat early. They also need to address LB, WR and NCB. I like Beane but he needs to put on notice.

I do tend to think Brady has a bigger issue with tendencies than actual play design. We have a lot of great concepts in the offense but sometimes the gameplan itself is just way too predictable. Running any play over and over in the same situation is a problem (unless it's like the tush push where it's just unstoppable), but I will say re: the mesh stuff (1) mesh is probably the best way to get underwhelming WRs open and (2) it literally worked on our last two plays even though we ran it back to back with the game on the line lol. Josh just wasn't able to get the pass around Will Anderson to an open Shakir and then made an inexplicable decision on the 4th down play.
