Buffalo Bills 2025 Thread

I normally feel like dunking on the OC is such low hanging fruit for every fan base that loses.
Man, the Nate Tice "Lol Mesh again" foresight is pretty damning. Just in case Allen's frustration wasn't enough.
This was almost inevitable though. Need an offensive HC man.

It's pretty comical at this point how made of glass the defense is. Every. Single. Year.
Love Herbstreit acting like Bernard was the big one. Probably not a top 9 injury they have.

I mean look injuries happen but Buffalos on like a 3+ year run of the defense just being crushed each year by injuries. The LB's 2 years ago, the d-line last year and now essentially all of the above this year. They get a decent amount of guys back next year but DE again looks like a mess as only Bosa and Hoecht ( in a small sample size) have shown the ability to rush the passer despite Buffalo spending tens of millions on the position and draft picks.

Secondary also has major issues. Taron Johnson looks shot and we have zero depth at Safety and CB. Strong's future is uncertain and Tre is highly likely to retire. Gotta hope Taron can somehow rebound because I don't know how you can cut him.

Gonna have to re-sign Bosa and probably spend another pick on a DE somewhat early. They also need to address LB, WR and NCB. I like Beane but he needs to put on notice.

I do tend to think Brady has a bigger issue with tendencies than actual play design. We have a lot of great concepts in the offense but sometimes the gameplan itself is just way too predictable. Running any play over and over in the same situation is a problem (unless it's like the tush push where it's just unstoppable), but I will say re: the mesh stuff (1) mesh is probably the best way to get underwhelming WRs open and (2) it literally worked on our last two plays even though we ran it back to back with the game on the line lol. Josh just wasn't able to get the pass around Will Anderson to an open Shakir and then made an inexplicable decision on the 4th down play.

Some of the injuries are just bad luck but others are in injury prone guys who they should have moved off from. The best predictor of future injuries are past injuries. Bills are the anti dynasty Patriots who would cash out on talent a year before it expired. We not only don’t do that, we actually seek out the rotten milk and reunite with it

So Orlovski saying the bills committed coaching malpractice in only chipping Will Anderson twice all night. I’ve said this before , I have no idea about offensive strategy on that level. I don’t think many of us do even if we think we do. You just see what a talking head says and parrot it. But empirically it does seem like his criticism has some merit and he did play backup QB in the league.

If this was coaching malpractice, why stand for it? Get you franchise QB killed? Seems like that not moving on from it would be another act of malpractice

Been talking with my buddies a lot about this. Where the heck were the chips and bringing in the tight ends to just block? Insane

Difficult to throw to anyone when you get sacked
I agree the oline was terrible, but I put half of those sacks on Allen and probably a few more hits. He needs to get rid of the ball. The sack where it looked like he died he had a clear first down run too. There were at least two others where he was running back word trying to be superman. It wasn't worth it. Throw it away. Houston mostly did a great job compared to other teams preventing him from getting outside.

I am very interested to see how they play vs KC in two weeks. Loser is in deep trouble for the playoffs. KC already has lost every other tiebreaker. That is the only one they have a chance to win.

Allen starting to get that PTSD look with all the pressure he’s been facing. It’s causing real time regression in his composure. I don’t even blame him. If you get hammered 10 straight drop backs and you finally have time on the 11th, there’s no way you can expect that throw to be as good as if he had consistent protection. The comfort level just isn’t there

And the rookie TE is known for his blocking.
There's a pretty big difference between the run blocking that he's so good at vs. pass blocking but maybe he's great at the latter too. I honestly don't know. I do know that Josh got sacked even when we left 7+ guys in to block. But maybe chilling and then leaking out would have been better for the offense. Hard to say. Josh probably needed to be more willing to give his WRs a chance either way. That fade to Gabe at the end of the game for example was available the entire game; Josh just opted to take sacks instead of risking a DB being able to make a play on the ball.

Our woeful performance on Thursday has the entire sports world losing their mind over the Texans defense. Holy cow people. Yes they are good. But they aren’t that good.. just watch the next few weeks what happens to that vaunted D.

Let’s also not forget that it was a bs Thursday night road game. The results of those games can often times be set aside as 1 offs.

Who do we want to win the colts / chiefs game? I assume the colts since we have minimal chance of the 1 seed anyway ? So might as well try and Zoloft a lowly WC spot ?

(I kept Zoloft in there because it’s an all time auto-correct from solidify )

Have to be worried about MAKING the Playoffs at this point.

Colts. Chiefs are buried after this if they lose.

Flacco with an all time captain obvious pick 6. Even I saw that crap 10 seconds before it happened

Im really starting to hate Drake maye’s smug punchable face

Pats had two separate series of first and goal at the 1 on the same drive and got stuffed

Once again. Watching all the other games with the bills off, it quickly becomes obvious how other teams have much better players. Most of them are just missing the one thing we have.

I bet the Colts under 11.5 a few days ago; looking at their schedule I don't see them as a threat for the 1. Dimes is who we thought he was.
