There was talk, (especially on local radio) that Breanna Stewart may have disrespected the President by giving him "rabbit ears" (or devil's horns) at the White House ceremony.

The whole ceremony for the UCONN basketball team at the White House is now on You-Tube and the rabbit ears, (at 8:27), come from the two players on either side of Breanna Stewart, although it happens in front of her. So Breanna did not disrespect the President, (who praises her specifically at 3:45 and 5:15).

I think he was in on it. :)

People need to lighten up. A lot. That wasn't even her, and even if it was, who cares? Is that disrespecting Obama? It's a couple of 20 year old college girls goofing around.
Oh yeah? Well the last girl to goof around with the President was Monica Lewinski! ;)

Eh, I don't know. It's still the President of the United States, ya know? Hold off for 15 minutes on the goofing around.

Haven't gotten over the fact that she disrespected us by going to UConn . . . . just saying . . . .

Paulus disrespected us more by choosing Duke. I don't care that he came back to play football.

That's like saying that someone disrespected Syracuse football because he went to play at Alabama

I was basically kidding, but let's just say Dajuan chose Calipari over SU. I think that is probably a better comparison than some kid picking Alabama over SU for football. And SU was recruiting Paulus for football more than basketball imo.

BS may go down as the best female ever to play the sport. I can't remember any other girl who could play all five positions on the court the way that she can.

Hey, who doesn't want a couple of beautiful girls doing rabbit ears behind your head?

How much have you watched Delle Donne?

No. SU women's bball is to UConn as SU FB is to Bama FB.

Not much but her story is very interesting. Does she play all 5 positions on the court? Stewart just a freshman has been NCAA final four MOP and MVP on team USA's Under 19 gold medal winning team. She also gold medaled on the Under 16 & 17 teams. She was only the 2nd high school player ever to be chosen for the Pan American team.

"Stewart was named the 2012 Naismith High School Girl’s Player of the Year, the honor awarded by the Atlanta Tipoff Club to the best female high school basketball player in the country. Stewart was named the 2011 USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year." USA basketball (per Wikipedia)

She was never coming to Syracuse. Ever. No shot. I was lucky to have several opportunities to speak with her and her father during basketball workouts. She is an awesome young lady. Very cordial and was excited to be going to play for the best women's basketball program in the country. That was her dream, and she fulfilled it. In spades! I think she was always straight up with Q and that is why they are still friends today. Q knew she wasn't coming to SU.

I say , but I am always cheering for Breanna. She has worked her butt off to be where she is.

We need to build a program good enough that a Breanna Stewart would want to be a part of it, rather than blame here for going elsewhere.
