Buss Patterson missed practice today

I guess you could say he...didn't make an...IMPACT...in practice.

Does anyone know of why Buss and/or BJ were not reshirted?
BJ's dad I believe said he would not red-shirt.

Buss should be a sophomore already because of his prep year.

Does that preclude one from redshirting in college? Just curious.

BJ probably wouldn't have committed without assurance that he could dress. But it would have been better for his development if he red-shirted, despite the hilarious claims over the summer that he would be a key cog in the rotation.

impacted wisdom teeth

This reminds me of a funny story. When I was in college at Syracuse, I kept putting off getting my wisdom teeth out. By the time of my junior year they were really impacted. The pain was so bad I finally decided to see a dentist. I didn't know any dentists in Syracuse so I just went with Doctor Rothenberg because his office was within walking distance of the campus. I get in the chair and he says to me in really heavy Jewish accent, which was kind of on the edge of hocking up a luggy, "David, David, David <<he puts is hand on his cheek>>. Look at your teeth!!!! Why didn't you come to me soooner!!! Hoockkk Oyyy Veyy." So I ask him was he going to gas me before he takes them out. He says, "Just Novacane and this." And he shows me a big pair of pliers.

So the first three come right out. It was kind of weird how easy it was to pull out someone's teeth. But the fourth one was a completely different animal. The pain was unbearable so Dr. Rothenberg gives me a second shot of Novacane. Then a third. And then a fourth shot of Novacane! I'm kind of watching him though the slit of my eye, and he's working my jaw with both hands and the pliers. He has sweat breaking on his brow. The pain is insanely bad. And then the tooth finally started to come out. At that moment, the pain was so bad, everything went white!! And for a brief moment, I saw God! The next thing I remember was seeing Doctor Rothenberg with a big smile on his face holding my tooth with the pliers. Looking back on it now it's kind of a nostalgic college memory. Kind of like when I was at the game when the Pearl made the famous half court shot to beat BC in the last second.

No it doesn't, but the same thing happened with Southerland his freshman year.

I think I'm becoming a pessimist. My first thought was he skipped practice and planned to transfer. There's no reason for me to think this but I did.
Unfortunately because of some of the issues we have had in previous years, that was my first reaction as well .. I'm glad it wasn't the case and hope Buss recovers quickly.

The best possible outcome this year is that all the freshman continue to work there butts off against the top rotation in daily practices knowing that in a year or so, they will be part of that rotation and competing for a NC.

boeheim doesn't play a deep bench. never has. never will. however several bench players have managed to develop themselves into key role players or even starters during their SU stints. hard work and dedication.

Jesus GOD. You just gave me nightmares!

I had my wisdom teeth taken out when I was 29. It was really dumb to wait that long.
