It is with a very heavy heart that I write this. Dan was a great friend. We spoke many times late at night and sometimes into the early morning about many things; the Ernie Davis Statue, its planning - who was going to be the sculptor, the Carrier Dome and what were my suggestions before its latest improvements and many other subjects. A more positive and happy individual I do not think I have spoken with, ever.
