For the sake of the team both rest and health wise I'm very glad we have a bye week prior to the grind of our schedule.

That said, selfishly, I wish we had a game this week because I CANNOT wait to see this team play again and see just how far they can progress. Exciting times to be orange for sure.

It beats last year's bye week blues -- when it took a missed kick from a D1AA school for us to win our opening game, and then we had a week off to consider how lucky we were / how bad the team looked.

This week's bye placement is much more beneficial, if for no other reason that to ensure that Dungey / Philips are healthy and ready to go for the next phase of the schedule. Plus, I like the extra week to get ready for our first road game.

I'm with you--this is an exciting time to be a fan of the program!

Let's Go Orange!!!

I'm heading to Murfreesboro to see if MTSU can knock off Vandy.

This too will be on CBSSN, so I'll be attending games broadcast by CBSSN on two consecutive weekends... that's got to be a first. :)

I'm going apple picking and fritter eating ! You plan this on bye weeks people not game days.

I have to say this - on the way to work Monday morning, the hosts on 94 fm (Cathy Rowe & company) were awful - one guy went apple picking but wished he was there, Cathy said she supports the team and has gone to a few games but not this one (really), another Cathy said I don't like the parking and walking up to the Dome, another said they didn't like the traffic.

Just awful when public figures reinforce negativism. SU has a long way to go to change the attitudes and in this case, the game day experience for the casual fan.

I'm going to go ahead and declare that last year's bye week was probably the worst timed in the history of all of our bye weeks.

This week works well, mostly because of my personal schedule conflict Saturday. But I guess also because the team could use the health break.

It's killing me that there isn't a game this Saturday. I want to watch Dungey and Erv shred an opposing defense!

It works great for me since I have a golf tourney to play in this Saturday.
