Had to overcome a LOT today. In no particular order...

  • Garret Shrader not being 100%
  • Lots of guys banged up on the OL
  • A terrific BC defensive game plan
  • Turnovers

But the MISSION was ACCOMPLISHED. We gutted our way to win #5, and now have a week off to REST, HEAL up, and RECUPERATE from the grind that the first nine weeks of the season have been.

Bye week couldn't have come at a more perfect time, as we gear up for the home stretch.

Time to get in the trainer's room, and to get in the film room with an extra week to prepare for Louisville -- let's make it count!

Let's Go Orange!!!

21 - 6! Great win today! Great play by both the D and the O.
Bye week is very welcome for everyone on this team.
Sean is now 1267 YDS. rushing, best in the nation.
We should all feel very good about this team and how they looked completely different in the second half. Tucker accelerating for his TD gave all on the team the positive attitude they needed and we weren't going to be denied, Jackson evading would be tacklers and blowing into the end zone with a punt return and Garrett around end and down the sidelines for his! Congratulations to Sean, the team and this board.

It will be fun to just sit and watch 12 hours of college football next week without having to go to or worry about an SU game.
Plus we will be off after a big win with momentum and confidence on our side. Even better.

Just a huge win for many reasons. We have stubbed our toe in this situation so many times in the last 20 years. Important for the team, the fan base, and our bowl aspirations.

This is not my area of expertise but I also have to imagine coaches are out recruiting this coming weekend with the bye. Much better message to be 5-4 and gaining steam versus 4-5 saying “we have been so close…”

That was such a dominant way to go into the bye. All the while executing poorly for a half.

It was also so nice for an opponent to have a gaffe vs us. Between the poorly officiated games, errors with snapping and kicking troubles it's been wild how close to undefeated this team has been. Not to mention some long passes in what feels like every game somehow falling right over our CBs into the receivers arms.

Finally that bad snap and some fortunate misses by an opposing QB. We were way overdue.

I believe BC lost three fumbles that magically bounced right into the arms of a BC player each time. The turnover gods are getting even with us for the previous two season when they were unbelievably kind to us. Unfortunately we had an offence that couldn’t convert short fields into touchdowns those seasons.

Baby steps. Still some balls bounced our way in the second half for a change
