Lovell Edwards was the master back in the day producing QBs galore before PlayStation offenses manufactured overhyped people like Andre Ware, every Texas Tech QB, etc.

RIP.

2016 has been lousy but he was 86. I mean, sadly, old people do pass away at some point.

I loved those 80s BYU teams though. I think today's pass-happy game owes a lot to Edwards.

When coach Mac came here to interview after Frank Maloney had been let go, he was spotted by the local press. They originally had no idea who he was but there was speculation that it was Lavell Edwards.
