You're right. He is a replacement at the center position. But really we should be thinking more like a Moneyball analysis on replacements. The combination of bigs on this years team (Sadiq, Kyle, Donnie, Akir) gave us 31.9 pts, 19.5 reb and 4.6 blocks.

Can Wilson, Folefac, Goodrick, Siby, and Sadiq combine for that kind of production? It is not hard to imagine next years team getting 35 pts and 25 rebounds from the Center and Power Forward position.

If we end up with Folefac and Wilson, we are looking pretty solid with our bigs.

this will be a great signing for his first year at a school that has hasn't made the tourney in a long time. if ao coaches this kid up we will be in good shape at center. hopefully this class can change the narrative here and gmac can use is to springboard to better players and more nil in 2027

This is a good get. Obviously wasn’t option A but this kid is no slouch. He’s a big kid, muscular frame, athletic for how big he is but not a spectacular athlete. He’s a really good rebounder and a big body in the paint. He’s never going to blow you away. With like 30 points. But he’ll have rebounding games of 15 boards or more. Has 2 years here as well. This is a solid pickup that will stabilize the Center spot. Wilson as the starter and Goodrick as his backup. It’s nice to have 2 centers that aren’t development guys. Both these guys can play at this level. Wilson is obviously a bit better than Goodrick. Both are very strong on the glass but aren’t gonna blow you away with points. Both can anchor down the paint and protect the paint. Not elite shock blockers but you aren’t gonna back down Wilson or Goodrick as they are big dudes. I’m fine where we are at Center. Need a starting PG and another power forward though

Agreed. IF [haven't seen anything official yet] Wilson is coming here, then I feel good about the center position. Wilson's game translates to the ACC. I believe that Goodrick is going to be better than most expect. And Siby has intriguing potential. For us missing out on a few top guys like Estrella, Freeman, etc. I really like where we landed overall, if we add Wilson.

Next, let's add another PG and a PF. Folefac -- add him, and I love the depth at both big positions. If we don't add him, I still think we'll be ok [Goodrick could chip in there].

But we need another PG. And I think we can call it done.

Good perspective, I still have nightmares of all the easy layups we gave up to bad schools.
