Class of 2025 C Najai Hines (NJ/NC) to Seton Hall

The other big change for walkons in major sports is that they can now receive partial scholarships. Previously scholarship players for major revenue sports were considered full head count against the scholarship limit. Now, with a roster limit, a school can offer a partial scholarship. So for a player like Josh Kubala who I believe is on an ROTC scholarship, if that grant does not cover the full cost of attendance the football program can fill the gap.

Don’t want to clutter up Najai’s thread any further but would be happy to discuss more in a separate thread or PM. With my work on SyraCRUZ NIL and collaboration with Orange United I have been following the ramifications of the House settlement and affiliated NCAA rules changes pretty closely

Last night…
Najai had 8 points, 18 rebounds (9d & 9o), 3 blocks, and 1 steal in an 8 point win vs Arizona Unity (Sadler/McCoy Jr).

This morning…
Najai had 13 points, 10 boards, 1 block, and 3 steals in an 11 point win over Team Melo.

NY Rens are off to the Elite 8…

Edit… NY Rens are in the Final 4.

In the Peach Jam Final, Najai had 6 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks in the losing effort to Brad Beal Elite.

In the semifinal yesterday vs Expressions, Najai 11 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block, and 2 steals.

I’d say expect his offers to increase after a strong Peach Jam. My guess is someone gets him this summer to join their 2025 class. I know NC State was interested in him before he headed back home to NJ. Stay away Will Wade…

247 has him ranked 36th in the class of 2026, and is reclassing to 2025 (as we’ve known)
