its time to put out an all points bulletin for somebody that can kick a football accurately. First Krautman just seemed to lose confidence in his kicking and of course now with his injury who knows what will happen. Now Norton seems to have lost the distance on his kickoffs and anything over 30 yards on a field goal attempt is a hold your breath and hope for the best.

when we get opportunities to score against someone especially a good team we need to know that our kicker can make a medium difficult FG.

Its been frustrating especially kicking in a dome and knowing the overall history of kickers at SU to see what has happened .

Does SU do something to their kickers that makes them regress? Do we not train them right, like have them do too many reps?

If you've watched the games they don't want to kick the ball into the end zone. They have done a great job keeping teams inside the 20. If you kick it into the end zone the ball goes to the 25.

We should still never have so many kickers who make you hold your breath even on 25 yarders. We really have no excuse not to have accurate kickers year after year. Controlled conditions, and as mentioned, a history of great kickers (#2 and #18 on the NFL's all-time scoring list).

Two words: Soccer Team.
Seriously, I wouldn't be opposed to that. I remember a few years ago at the school where I work, there was a halftime thing where someone could win a prize if they could make a 25 yard field goal. The person who got picked happened to be a forward on our soccer team, and he strolled out there and absolutely drilled it. It woulda been good from 45, and this is at the D3 level.

Coincidentally, one of the guys he graduated with and was our star players is now a volunteer assistant with the SU women's team as he gets his masters up at Syracuse.

Our kicking game has been shaky since Nate Trout and Patrick Shadle. Krautman was good in 2010, but he has struggled since then. We need a kicker that anything under 40 is a lock in the Dome, and 40-50 yd FGs are better than 70%. We play our home games in the Dome our kicking game should be a strenght.

In Krautman's defense, he's been hurt for the better part of two years.

Makes it even worse when the clemson kicker comes out and drills a 52 yard fg. Didnt count but dam
