Calling Chance Westry

I just ran a search and an Advanced Search on The latest with Chance Westry and to my surprise nothing turned up. I haven’t seen a post mentioning his name or anything. I even wrote to Mike Waters, Axe and Chris Carlson Syracuse.com asking about his status and no one replied.
What’s going on? Did he finally head for the hills?
His is a very strange story.

As far as coverage, what more can be covered? He’s been out of action. It’s either been injury, speculation he was recovering from illness, and some people on the board have alluded to other valid but personal reasons he’s not playing. It’s to the point, for me anyway, that the coverage has run its course until he shows up on the court again in a game.

I saw enough in his 11 minutes of game action that he didn’t look right. Feel bad for the kid and hope he gets a chance to play college basketball again.

Mark Konecny had a career zero. Although it was 1 season, or basically November of the season.

When we landed Chance Westry, JJ, and Donnie Freeman shortly after Red was named head coach, it seemed like a HUGE indicator of Red's recruiting prowess.

Hard to believe that two years later, only JJ contributed out of those three. I don't fault Freeman due to his injury, but he contributed no more than Chris McCullough did. And Chance didn't even score a point.

Incredible, given the caliber of recruit all three were [with two of them being McD AA's].
