If Fran brings in a whole new OL, we will stink again. The line we had was big enough, but not strong enough. Their unit cohesion was not good, a whole new line would not be able to develop that cohesion by next season. Our best hope is to hit S&C hard, coach these players to develope as a unit, and fill in at position as needed with portals.

They don’t need a whole new line. Bring in two guys with high level performance in the MAC/Juco.

I understand the mass exodus stuff when coaches are fired or leave for another job but head coaches who aren’t moving on without a huge nest egg to pay portal guys it seems like a recipe for disaster. Just too many holes to fill with too many unknowns but who knows. I think transfer portal comes down to $, highest bidder type stuff and if you pay and miss on a couple you are in trouble.

Well we know we’ll get some upperclassman Toledo guys who know this defense and played at a high level - so it’s better than starting from scratch.

And we don’t need whole new DL or OL - exaggeration as per usual.
