Shafer talked about keeping the offensive line fit this summer. Said the weights are generally down, but lifting numbers are up.

Shafer was hesitant to give praise to any freshmen before they put on pads. "There's a lot of no-pad heroes out there."

Shafer said kicker Ryan Norton is taking the potential starting opportunity in stride. Kicked well today.

He had some of the biggest gains in the weight room this offseason. Really boosted his numbers and is now over 230 pounds. I expect good things from him this year.
