Can anyone explain why Bell sat on the bench for 13 minutes?

What the hell? The dude is FINALLY producing and you decide to cool him off and instead, play Carlos more minutes? Carlos logged 33 min to Bell's 27. My gawd. I'm really, really trying to stay positive but these rotations are just killing me.

I have been clear on my feelings towards Bell (not positive), but give a guy his dues when he earns it. He was the LEADING SCORER with 23 points tonight. He was 58% from deep. Why the ffff do you start Carlos for a handful of minutes to begin the 2nd half while you sit a guy on the bench who has shown before that he can go off and is currently hot. Unbelievable.

I agree, but JJ does not pass to anyone and Carlos never sees Bell when he is open because he has to pass it to Lampkin so he can get it right back and dribble with no plan of what to do next except possibly pass it to where nobody is or drive, shoot and miss.

JJ's inability or unwillingness to pass is one of the more wild things about this team. It has to be infuriating for the other players, yet in a "these guys stink" sort of way makes sense.

I thought it was just me wondering why subbing out when a player is hot, or when the defense is playing well in a zone (or whatever they are doing at the time that is working) and confounding the opponent. I guess it's not, and I'm not crazy.

Yeah, but JJ did learn from the best.

You might be crazy for many other reasons, though.

I mean this is worrying about the arrangement of the deck chairs on the Titanic

Back to the original topic, I didn't watch the game, so clearly cannot comment on facts...
but maybe it was a defensive move?
Looking at the game flow and win probability on ESPN, I was blown away how much we crumbled in the last 10 minutes.
Not saying Bell is a defensive savior, but it looked really bad on paper.
