Yup...Pindell is worth Cuse's full attention. He was a train wreck early in his career but is becoming a solid D-1 QB. Fortunately Cuse gets to play Yukon's Defense.Pindell is EXACTLY the sort of dual-threat QB that has given our D fits in years past.
Regardless of his rankings or pedigree.
I really hope we 'spy' him if need be, since I think the rest of our D can cover the rest of them sufficiently.
I worry about our secondary. Against FSU, the defensive line masked some of our coverage issues. But we may get exposed against better QB's.Ward historically has struggled against high level QBs. I don't see many of those on the schedule.
Pindell at UCONN? I'll let Marsh say what needs to be said here. (#28 QBR)
Clemson's 2 headed monster? Decent, but do they scare you? (Bryant is #92 QBR)
Pickett at Pitt? Please. (#71 QBR)
Elliott at UNC? Nah. (#118 QBR)
Finley at NC State? OK, now we got to somebody that can play. (#15 QBR)
Hartman at Wake? Talented but not a refined product at all. (#56 QBR)
Whatever's going on at Louisville? Get a cramp, Petrino. (Pass is #128, two spots ahead of the sacrificial lamb on the bottom from Rutgers)
Wimbush at ND? I'd like to remind everyone that Brian Kelly killed a kid. (#72 QBR)
Brown at BC? Having a really good season, but BC isn't QB-centric at all. (Oddly enough, does not show up on ESPN's CFB QBR list at all. Which must be a mistake, because his numbers have been very good so far. Maybe he hasn't thrown enough passes to qualify?)
If you want a reason for optimism this season, this is a big one. We're not really butting up against the types of QBs that can carve a defense up through the air or is a terrifying threat to run.
I think the defense is going to be fine, and we can compete against every single one of these teams.

True, as a unit the secondary played pretty well. The FSU QB whistled in some of those throws. And totally agree about Cisco - he came through big time on that play as a FROSH. I worry more about scoop, receivers getting behind our LBs' so often and handling an effective RPO offense like WF.The coverage is never going to be 100% perfect. We had some coverage sacks, a big league INT and the coverage play of the day was probably not biting on the WR pass. I was very encouraged. A couple of the longer FSU throws he threaded passes into some tight zone windows.

I think he is counting this year since we haven't played them yet. He’s not staying for his SR year
I mean it's college football. Sample size is small. That's perfectly fine but I'm not going to judge any QBs off of 3 games. Especially teams that rotate the entire roster early like we do so neither one gets any cohesion.
Yeah, whatever man.seems like i've seen 2nd , 3rd stringers come in and shred us in the past. worse the starter even.

I am going to judge QBs on 3 games. In fact, I have.
In fact, I've judged yours.
Yeah, Francois was one to worry about.I think when you judge QB's, not only should they be judged but also their offensive line. FSU is a prime example, Francois is a very good qb but has a bad OL in front of him. If our DL can have performances anywhere similar to what they had Saturday, we're gonna have a lot of opportunities to win games.
