Yesterday, MD reminded me of SU over most of the last 12 years, except for the penalty thing.

Yeah, it seems like the people in power don't realize how hard it is to win 9 or 10 games for most teams. Let alone do it year in and year out. If you are winning 8 and 9 games a year and you aren't Alabama or Florida St (for example), barring making a systemic effort to increase funding and/or get better players (read: cheating more), that is the cap outside of the years where you get a few lucky breaks or the recruit that turns out to be a super duper star.
