Ishmeal abused Pitt's CB on similar routes. We threw it on Wake pretty easily. I'd agree if you're talking FSU and Clemson. We need cream of the crop WR to take on those corners.

Let me get this straight. You actually prefer the offense that only put up 362 yards and 27 points to the offense that put up 534 yards and 58 points? Are you sure you don't want to reconsider that?

Willie Fritz's team absolutely kicked the out of Dino's team 58-27 just like he kicks everyone's ass. Georgia Southern was in 1-AA when he took the team over last year so half of his players weren't even good enough to be recruited by 1-A schools. This guy went 8-0 in conference in their transition year. Do you know how impossible that is? He also took a formerly shitty Sam Houston team to the playoffs in all 3 years he coached there, including the championship game.

We'll be okay with Dino. Dino was in my top 3 candidates but ease up on the homerism and get real. I think some of you still believe letting HCSS go was a mistake.

I am big on Willie Fritz too. I actually started a thread on him but there is a reason he is going to Tulane and not a Power 5. His system is not a automatic. People want to see if it works against Clemson, FSU, Ohio st, Michigan before they start buying it, teams who have better athletes and players. Dino has beaten teams with average to below average players. They hung in there with Tennesee, beat Purdue and whiped Maryland's blood on their own floor. GS did hang with an average Georgia team but they got destroyed by W Virgina and App St. Babers is a less risky hire because he's shown more evidence.

No it doesn't.

But just between us girls here, I'll take it as Option B, with Option C being to lose a bunch of 21-10 games. At least I'll feel like we can come back if we get down big early.

Ward's defense improved over the guy before him. I can't take much away from a bowl game with staff changes and playing a triple option. But Bowling Green's zero points after halftime didn't help them either. It's easier to give up less than 35 in a half if you do some scoring yourself.

Watching the game - when Georgia St went up 2 TD in the third, I thought "game over"... Caught myself a second later and realized I was in Syracuse 2015 mode. BG can score two TD in 2:30. They are never out of it.

Sign me up for that.
 
BG probably had 5 TD plays they messed up. but it was clear they didnt know how to defend option, the offense would have been fine if they had held on to the ball even with the strange play calling, guys were open all over.

Bowl games are hard to judge, its all about motivation. BG just lost their coach, that could have something to do with their performance.

Not psyched about Tampa 2, but Dino was the guy I wanted, so gotta give him the benefit of the doubt to pick who he wants...particularly considering their Defense showed good improvement this year.

I don't care what we do on defense at this point. If we're going to run the wrong system somewhere, let's do it on defense.
